<span style="font-weight: 400;">In the bracket final of the 18U/17U Utah HoopSource Final Winter Run, NW Select played an exhilarating match with NW Magic that came down to the final moments. NW Select ultimately came up victorious in a brilliant team display where various members were able to show their talents. The game started with a [player_tooltip player_id="158545" first="Rhyan" last="Mogel"] hang on a nice lay-up followed by a [player_tooltip player_id="207819" first="Carly" last="Stone"] to Mogel jumper. Jazzy Davidson found [player_tooltip player_id="158551" first="Annie" last="Koenig"] for a triple. Mogel found Davidson. [player_tooltip player_id="158551" first="Annie" last="Koenig"] sank another three. [player_tooltip player_id="158517" first="Halle" last="Hageman"] threw a hail mary down the stretch of the court for a Stone score. Davidson to Skoro triple ended the half as Select led 27-21.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The second half would find Select up, but NW Magic would continue to apply pressure of their own offensively. Thanks to a superb team display, Select was able to hang on for the duration of the game. The second half started with a Mogel to Skoro score. Stone found Davidson for a triple. Davidson isolation score. Hageman to Stone for three. Davidson score. Skoro to Stone floater. Davidson isolation score. Skoto to Hageman for three. Koenig and Skoro free-throws. NW Select would come up victorious and claim the championship after a long weekend of basketball over some talented teams.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Mia is a high IQ guard who plays for her teammates, as she is a poised and calm point guard, even during difficult measures. She has a steady handle on the ball and has a knack for rebounding and defending with precision. She made some nice paassses down the stretch and had some big free throws that helped put the game away. She finished with a superb stat-line in her 12 point, 5 rebound, 2 assist performance - indicative of her ability to affect the game in a multitude of ways.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Other Standouts</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="158551" first="Annie" last="Koenig"] came up big in the first half, sinking both of her three-points within minutes. This was huge as both clubs would trade leads during the first half. [player_tooltip player_id="158517" first="Halle" last="Hageman"] would be a nice dose of consistency and dynamic plays - highlighted by her full court heave to Mountainside teammate [player_tooltip player_id="207819" first="Carly" last="Stone"] - who had an adept all-around game herself. Hageman and Stone combined for 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists as they are key playmaking pieces for Select. </span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Mogel & Davidson</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Mogel had another superb game as a high energy, super motor, skilled two-way player who makes a lot of plays head on based on instinct and feel alone. She finished with 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists - depicting her ability to score and affect the game all across the board. Davidson filled up the stat sheet yet again with a 12 point, 6 rebound, 2 assist, 2 block, 4 steal performance as she played a varied role within Select. She was more of the versatile defender with her long reach and ability to make plays that others simply cannot.</span>
