Here’s a look at them and their District performances:
Sela Lefler Sela Lefler 5'6" | PG North Farmington | 2023 State MI (2023, PG, North Farmington)
Lefler had a nice performance in a 47-41 North Farmington win over Farmington. She had 15 points and 4 assists. Lefler showed a nice post entry bounce pass on multiple occasions. She doesn’t have to be ball dominant to make a contribution and Lefler moved well throughout the game. She’s in good physical condition and appears ready and able to log heavy minutes. Lefler showed a strong straight line dribble drive to her right and proved to have range beyond the arc. After she hit a 3, her defender stepped out on her closely and Lefler used it to jab step and drive past her.
Heavan Rogers Heavan Rogers 5'11" | PF North Farmington | 2021 State MI (2021, PF, North Farmington)
Rogers was a real difference maker in her teams win. She was active on the offensive glass and it gained possessions and second chance points. She had 17 points and 10 rebounds on the night. When the ball hit the rim, she went in another gear and chased down the boards. Rogers was very comfortable working with her back to the basket and getting in position to receive an entry pass. She showed a nice spin move to her right and also showed some shiftiness and creativeness on her finishes. Rogers had a knack for playing off contact and drawing fouls. Defensively, she did a nice job using the baseline as an extra defender.
Ashley Loon Ashley Loon SG Berkley | 2022 State MI (2022, PG, Berkley)
Loon was terrific in Berkley’s 49-40 victory over Seaholm. She finished the game with 15 points and 4 rebounds. Loon definitely carries the look of a natural scorer. She buried 2 deep three pointers, both of which came out smoothly off the catch. Loon was balanced and rose up on her shot, looking smooth in doing so. She seemed to be able to both score and distribute naturally in the flow of the offense. Loon is definitely underrated as an overall athlete.
Sammi Withrow Sammi Withrow 5'8" | SF Berkley | 2023 State MI (2023, SF, Berkley)
Withrow is a young prospect with a lot of upside. She was very quick down the floor against Seaholm, showing terrific north-south speed. This makes and made her a big time threat in transition. Withrow looked solid defensively, especially since the turnover margin might have been the difference in the game. She showed 3 point range in the game as well. She buried a triple off the catch and didn’t need a set up dribble before she put it up.
