This upcoming season will be the final AAU season for all players in the Class of 2022. Highlighted below are a few point guards in this class that show why they are the true leaders on a basketball court.

[player_tooltip player_id="128996" first="Ava" last="Hawthorne"], 5’10, PG, Gilbert, 2022--Ava is a highly skilled, poised point guard that is a player that will be entertaining to watch this 2021 AAU season as she plays her fina</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">l season with the elite All Iowa Attack te</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">am, a team that she has played on since</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> she’s been in elementary school in second grade. This junior, senior to be, plays very relaxed and confident every time she steps onto the court. She has a lot of size, which will allow her t</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">o not only run the show at point, but will also make it easy for her to slide</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> over to the wing and play off the ball as a shooting guard. She is very level headed, and plays with a lo</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">t of energy and passion. Ava has a tremendous quick release on her 3-point shot, which is very fluid and pure. She also shoots the ball at a high percentage, and is consistent. Her basketball IQ and knowledge of the game is very evident as well. In addition, she is a good passer and has the ability to set her teammates up for open shots by penetrating in the lane and dishing out to them. Her aggressiveness on the defensive end results in havoc for opposing teams, and she has the knack to get a lot of steals and points off of turnovers in transition. A very good free throw shooter, as she shot</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> 84% from the free throw line this season. This Gilbert HS player put up some good numbers this high school season with a little under 16 PPG, 5 RPG, 4 APG, and 4 SPG. She will be taking her talents to Drake University in 2022, where she verbally com</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">mitted to in October. This guard that has the potential to be a great player at the NCAA DI level. </span>

[player_tooltip player_id="128999" first="Allie" last="Meadows"], 5’8, PG, Central DeWitt, 2022--Allie is an athletic, true point guard that will be opening many eyes</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> this 2021 AAU season as she plays her final season with the elite Lady Martin Brothers team. This junior floor general has the uncanny ability to make her teammates around her better with great passes. She sees the floor really well, and can deliver dimes easily. What makes her such a great player is her ability to play both ends of the floor at a high level. Allie displays the ability to break down defenders with good ball handling skills, can finish at the rim with both her right and left hand in traffic, while doing it with ease. Her floater in the lane and her finishing ability off the dribble is good. She can also shoot the 3 ball, and has very good conistency. In addition, sh</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">e can hit shots whether she is open or if there is a hand in her face. On the defensive end, she is very tenacious and gets her hands on a lot of passes. She is a tremendous on the ball defender and causes a lot of disruption for opposing teams. She has good athleticism, and is very quick and fast. She has decent size at 5’8, which allows her to be a versatile guard. This Central DeWitt HS player put up some good numbers this high school season with a little under 16 PPG, 3 APG, 2 SPG, and 3 RPG. An outstanding player for college coaches to watch as we head into the season starting here this April. </span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">3. [player_tooltip player_id="107012" first="Jada" last="Williams"], 5’8, PG, Mason City, 2022--Jada is a talented point guard that has the full package and is a player that will be a thrill to watch this 2021 AAU season as she plays her final season with the elite North Iowa Fire team. This athletic point guard is another true point guard that has tremendous court vision and can set her teammates up for good shots. A very good ball handler, she can break down defenders, get to the rim and finish in traffic with both her right and left hand. Jada can also shoot the 3 ball, and has a great stroke and form. She displays the ability to play at a high level not only on the off</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">ensive end, but on the defensive end as well. With her athleticism and length, she can get into passing lanes easily and pick off passes. She is also a huge presence on the boards, and can rack up the rebounds. She has a very high basketball IQ, and displays true basketball savvy. This Mason City HS player put up some good numbers this high school season with a little under 15 PPG, 7 RPG, 4 APG, and 2 SPG. She will be taking her talents to University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2022, where she verbally committed to in November. This guard also has the potential to be a great player at the NCAA DI level.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">4. [player_tooltip player_id="63580" first="Brooke" last="Loewe"], 5’7, PG, Ballard, 2022--Brooke is a complete point guard that will be an exciting player to watch this 2021 AAU season as she plays her final season with the elite All Iowa Attack team. This current junior, senior to be, is a very shifty floor general with great handles. Brooke can penetrate, get inside the lane, and make some unbelievable passes to teammates. She displays the ability to also get to the rim, finish with both hands, in traffic, or on a bigger defender. She can shoot the 3 point shot off the catch or dribble, has range, and many of her 3’s are shot off the bounce after crossing the half court line. Her athleticism is tremendous, and she can get many steals on defense. Her play in the open floor is very good, and she has a high basketball IQ. She plays with a lot of energy and passion. This Ballard HS player put up some good numbers this high school season with a little under 11 PPG, 3 APG, 4 SPG, and 4 RPG. A tremendous player for college coaches to check out as we head into the season starting here this April.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">5. [player_tooltip player_id="129008" first="Amaya" last="Davison"], 5’5, PG, Des Moines Roosevelt, 2022--Amaya is a very athletic point guard that has a lot of natural talent and will be a main player to watch this 2021 AAU season as she plays her final season with the elite All Iowa Attack team. This quick point guard is an excellent ball handler, and can get to the rim very fluidly, by utlizing and finishing with both hands. Amaya has the athleticism to finish in traffic against taller defenders as well. She can shoot the 3 ball with good consistency, and can also shoot the ball off the dribble. She displays the ability to be a great passer, and has tremendous court vision. Her tenacity and energy she brings on the defensive end is unbelievable. With her quick hands and feet, she can get many steals and get her hands on a lot of passes. She is a very confident player, and has a lot of passion. This Des Moines Roosevelt HS player put up some good numbers this high school season on a shortened season with a little under 14 PPG, 3 SPG, 2 APG, and 2 RPG. A fantastic player for college coaches to watch as we head into the season starting here this April.</span>
