There has been issues with some live streaming for certain leagues, the press coverage is minimal at best and stats as well as website links are not really getting updated too much. The KingCo League has yet to update their site for the “2021 season” the last I checked. That being said, one prospect in particular who I have been able to see in person and via updates is Colbi Zorich Colbi Zorich 5'11" | SF Inglemoor | 2022 State WA from Inglemoor High School.
Colbi attended the PGH Washington Showcase later last year in 2020 and she showed off some great improvement in her game from the previous couple years. At 5’11, she has good strength and mobility and her motor never seems to stop running. Two games into the season, she is averaging 9 rebounds per game to go along with 18 points and 5 steals per game. An early breakout performer in KingCo that colleges should definitely be tracking. At the showcase last year, she was coachable and attentive throughout the camp in working with her up close.
Three Others to Watch
Some other KingCo players that I look forward to tracking includes 2023 5’8 PG Kaylia Jackson Kaylia Jackson 5'8" | PG Eastlake | 2023 State WA (Eastlake HS), 2022 Vermont commit Keira Hanson Keira Hanson 5'7" | PG Issaquah | 2022 State WA (Issaquah HS) and 2022 5’11 SF Tatum Thompson Tatum Thompson 6'0" | SF Woodinville | 2022 State WA (Woodinville HS). Jackson and Thompson are both available in their college recruitment.
Stephens Hits 1000 points
2021 5’11 PF Alivia Stephens Alivia Stephens 5'11" | PF Issaquah | 2021 State WA of Issaquah High School reached the 1000 point milestone this past week. According to Issaquah Girl’s Basketball Twitter Account, Stephens is the sixth player in program history to reach this mark. She is signed to play at Army for her college basketball.
