SD Network is one of the premier club programs in South Dakota. They brought their 13U, 15U, 16U, and 17U teams to the USJN Windy City Classic in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this past weekend. Let’s first get to know the SD Network 17U prospects and how they performed over the weekend. I was able to catch a majority of these three games below. Results: SD Network 17U - 52
KS-Next Level 17 Life Prep - 28

SD Network 17U - 53
IN-Showcase 17 Gorman - 35

SD Network 17U - 40 OH-Cincy Swish 17 - 38
Prospects: [player_tooltip player_id="100467" first="Hilary" last="Behrens"] - (6’1/Wing/2023) - Brandon Valley - Hilary is the best prospect that’s apart of the SD Network program. Listed at 6’0 during the high school season and 6’1 on the SD Network website, I think it’s time to move her up to the 6’1 mark as it seems Hilary has even more length and grew some. She’s the #1 ranked South Dakota 2023 and her stock is ascending. She was very impressive, dueling as a playmaking passer with underhand and long bounce passes to teammates for buckets under the hoop. Played the passing lanes well and turned steals into layups with her long speed. Was blocking shots and flying around. Ummm...think about this...Hilary was playing point guard at times and they were also trying to lob up passes to her...so she’s an all-around legit D1 prospect. [player_tooltip player_id="99731" first="Taliyah" last="Hayes"] - (5’8/CG/2022) - Sioux Falls Roosevelt - Taliyah is a lock-down and swarming defender for SD Network. They did a lot of trapping in the half-court and this fits Taliyah’s style perfectly. She really impressed me with her ball-handling and ability to attack off-the-bounce. Taliyah’s stock may have improved the most with her opportunity to showcase herself with the SD Network program. I thought they really utilized her talents in the best way. She’ll be a stock-riser in our next rankings update. [player_tooltip player_id="150836" first="Mairin" last="Duffy"] - (5’11/SF-PF/2022) - St.Thomas More - Mairin is new to the SD Network program and has good size and skill for a wing-4 that can also shoot the ball. She defended well on the wing and in the paint. Will shoot a deep three with confidence. [player_tooltip player_id="14254" first="Ainsley" last="Shelsta"] - (6’5/C/2022) - Brookings - Ainsley is a veteran of the SD Network program. She did her normal thing, finishing close to the hoop, rebounding, and protecting the paint. Not much new here, other than you know what you’re consistently getting with Ainsley. [player_tooltip player_id="99770" first="Jaden" last="Matkins"] - (5’11/SF-PF/2022) - Rapid City Stevens - Jaden is a very underrated prospect and add to the SD Network program, with her athletic ability and strong/muscular build standing out. Jaden is also a stock-riser in the next update, as she was a crucial part in her high school team’s State tournament success as well. [player_tooltip player_id="100470" first="Cierra" last="Watkins"] - (5’7/PG/2023) - Sioux Falls Jefferson - Cierra, playing up as a 2023, showed great on-ball defense and defensive slide with opposing point guards. She had great anticipation on what the ball-handlers next move would be. Handled the ball and relieved pressured well, like a true lefty point guard. Cierra’s stock is up in the fact she proved she’s a true point guard. Cierra will be playing for first year high school Sioux Falls Jefferson. [player_tooltip player_id="150852" first="Jill" last="Delzer"] - (5’10/SF/2022) - Rapid City Stevens - Jill was the most active and played with the most energy. She was flying all over the court. Brought a toughness to the team. [player_tooltip player_id="99727" first="Kaela" last="Martinez"] - (5’8/CG/2022) - Sioux Falls Roosevelt - First thing I noticed about Kaela is that she was receiving heavy defensive attention and was closely guarded — making it difficult for her to get clean looks. Still did a good job attacking and getting teammates looks. Showed a very impressive sprint and hustle up-and-down.
