IE Apache Memorial: East TN Air Thunder

Prep Girls Hoops was in attendance this past weekend down in Indian Trail, NC at the Insider Exposure Apache Memorial Tourney. I thought it was very important to talk about some of these young ladies that I was able to watch from the Volunteer State right here in this article. I was taking in the opening game vs FBC Carolina Elite Mel which went down to the wire. East TN Air Thunder came away with the win 49-47. Lets talk about some of these young ladies on this team and COLLEGE COACHES need to start taking notice. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-278606" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/04/6B9665AF-7429-481D-9C53-E8B0E62AA635.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> [player_tooltip player_id="245206" first="Jennifer" last="Sullivan"] (2022) - Bearden HS (Knoxville) (pictured on front) Sullivan was OUTSTANDING with her play today. Sullivan just plays the game with so much confidence and swagger while on the floor. Sullivan is very crafty and shifty with the ball in her hands. Sullivan uses the ball screen very well to pop off and knockdown shots from the perimeter and behind the 3-point line. Sullivan will take a charge on command it seems (3 today) and isn't afraid to dive on the floor for a loose ball. Sullivan finished with 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 steals according to my stats today in a very impressive win over FBC Carolina Elite Mel. Burgess really uses space well to get her shot off and when she does it has a strong chance of going in. Burgess moves really well away from the ball and is always shot ready to receive the ball. [player_tooltip player_id="277075" first="Kori" last="Hamilton"] (2022) - Tellico Plains HS (Above photo #23) Hamilton really was on fire today behind the 3 point line and came up clutch down the stretch. Hamilton shoots the ball at high percentage clip from behind the 3-point line. Hamilton sets her feet and shows to have a pretty sweet stroke from downtown. Hamilton finished with 12 points while connecting on 4 three pointers. I really enjoyed watching this team play with just 6 girls and one of them was injured and missed most of the game. GREAT TEAM EFFORT AND WIN.
