Shout out to the AAU coaches doing an outstanding job coaching up these young ladies, getting them prepared for this moment. Plenty of coaches in the building and the young ladies showed up ready to play! The following young ladies really did a great job on both ends of the ball today and were great teammates.
Ashley Burgess-2023-Castle Athletics
This kid left it all on the floor today. She led her team to a tough, close victory in front of a baseline full of coaches. She gave 100% effort on both ends of the ball. She scored through contact around the basket, has nice mid range game and hunts after rebounds and loose balls. She is not afraid to bang down low, drew a lot of fouls and made free throws during big moments during the game. She has good size, defended well without fouling and moved her feet well when guarding the perimeter.

I first saw this young lady play in Pittsburgh early in the AAU season and her offensive game has gotten improved. Super bouncy, athletic wing player. I love the constant energy she brings to the court. Hustles, grabs tons of rebounds and can push the ball the length of the court. She is fast and once she gets going down hill she is hard to stop. She can finish through contact and blocks shots without fouling.
Rachel Reichard-2023-Midwest Takeover
Tough, strong post player, good size at 6’2. She works block to block well, gets great position in the post and maintains it. She did a nice job diving from the high post to fight for position on the block. She can shoot the ball out to the three point line, but was most effective in the post and midrange game. She does a good keeping the ball high after a rebound and makes clean outlet passes to her guards. She runs the floor well and is not phased when opponents get physical with her.

Good size in the post. She gets good position on the block and is able to finish through contact. She has good footwork, passes well out of the post and from the foul line. Good rebounder, makes clean outlet passes and then runs the floor. She protects the paint defensively and contests shots without fouling. She is a disciplined defender that does not leave her feet for ball fakes.
India Green-2022-Castle Athletics
Tough, big guard. She is aggressive going to the basket and finishes through contact. She is strong, able to post up smaller guards and takes advantage of post players on the perimeter with smooth ball handling to get to the rim. She plays with confidence, I phased by big moments. She was aggressive defensively, creating a lot of steals and dribbling length of floor for easy layups.
