WIAA State Tournament Top Performers So Far

We are in day three of the 4A/3A State Tournament and there has been some quality games and individual performances so far. Prep Girls Hoops has been at (lost count) games from 9am-10:30pm everyday and came away impressed with some players' individual performances. There is still plenty of basketball to be played, but here are some good ones to this point! Top performers: 2019 5'8 G Aspyn Adams (Mt. Spokane HS) - The best shooter in the Tacoma Dome, boy or girl. Aspyn hit 6 threes on her way to 20 points in a blowout victory over West Seattle. She also handed out 4 assists and played a solid game defensively. 2019 6'1 P Emily Nelson (Mt. Spokane HS) - The powerful post showed off her inside scoring ability in the Wildcats' win versus West Seattle. She scored 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds, while playing great help side defense. The Saint Martins' signee will matchup with Garfield's 6'4 P in the semis! 2019 6'3 PF Brooke Walling (Prairie HS) - The Fresno State signee showed off her versatility in Prairie's blowout win. She hit five 3's on her way to 21 points. The left handed power player is a nice mixture of skill and power. 2020 6'4 P Dalayah Daniels (Garfield HS) - Garfield's star player had a huge game in a win against Roosevelt! She had 17 points, 13 rebounds, 8 blocks and 8 steals in just 25 minutes of play. If she continues her dominant streak going, Garfield will be tough for anyone to defeat. 2019 5'9 G Rebekah Dasalla (Edmonds-Woodway HS) - Rebekah gave her all in EW's defeat, scoring 16 points and shooting 50% from the field. (15) Edmonds-Woodway upset (7) Bethel in round one and she is a big part of this team's success this season. 2020 6'3 P Keeli Burton (Eastlake HS) - The Arizona State commit had a big time game versus Inglemoor, finishing with 20 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 steal. She hit shots from the mid-range, showing some versatility. 2019 5'10 G Jenna Troy (Inglemoor HS) - Jenna was a bright spot in Inglemoor's loss to Eastlake. The senior guard scored 16 points in her 25 minutes on the floor. 2020 6'2 PF Jordyn Jenkins (Kentridge HS) - SPSL 4A MVP was dominant in Kentridge's win over Woodinville. Jenkins had 24 points, 9 rebounds and made all six of her three throw attempts. Her performance set the stage for an exciting games versus Lewis and Clark for the 4A semi-final. 2021 5'10 C Mia Hughes (Woodinville HS) - The tough sophomore enjoys playing against Kentridge's size! She went off for 28 points and grabbed 9 rebounds and 3 takeaways. She scored in transition with strength and battled hard for every basket! 2019 6'0 SF Jacinta Buckley (Lewis and Clark HS) - The Tigers' leader and UNLV signee is mentally locked in and ready to win a 4A state title in her fourth try. She handled Glacier Peak's pressure with ease and scored 17 points to go along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. Next up is Kentridge and it will be a fun one!
