Summer AAU is over with and it will be time for high school practice before you know it. Here’s a look at some Seniors who made the most of their summers and saw their stock take off.
[player_tooltip player_id="106151" first="Josie" last="Gilvin"], Sacred Heart - Gilvin ended her summer with multiple D1 offers after starting her spring with a state championship MVP award. Josie has shown herself to be among the best players in the class despite playing on a loaded high school team. She excels on both ends of the court and will be in the mix for regional player of the year.
[player_tooltip player_id="106159" first="Caylan" last="Mills"], Knox Central - The Senior had a great summer on the court, including earning college interest from all levels. Just as impressive, Caylan was recognized by the National Society of High School Scholars in June for her high academics. Between her academics and her on court skills, Mills should find a good home at the next level.
[player_tooltip player_id="157977" first="Sierra" last="Kemelgor"], South Oldham - Going from no offers to 2 offers is a big deal but beyond her recruitment, Kemelgor has shown she can take her game to the next level and looks primed for a big Senior season for South. Sierra has become a much better ball handler and looks more comfortable with the ball in her hands these days. Don't be surprised to see her add more offers as the season rolls along.
[player_tooltip player_id="106146" first="A’Nya" last="Winburn"], Ballard - A'Nya was a stand out at our PH Top 250 last fall but then she had a quiet Junior season that was limited to 9 games and she struggled to score efficiently in those 9 games. This summer, Winburn showed she's more than capable of playing at the next level and looks like she's ready to be an impact player in her Senior season with the Bruins.
