This is part two of the off-season prospect film study series. Where players generously let us review some film that they have of themselves. In part two there are four new players whose film I go over and report the takeaways that I had after carefully reviewing these players’ individual games. [player_tooltip player_id="264943" first="Tieryn" last="Plasch"] ’23 - Northwestern High School - This 5’6 guard has the ability to just make things happen with the ball in her hands. She is extremely quick with her moves and uses them to create space for herself at a high level, which helps her get easy looks for herself in isolation situations. She also holds a visually appealing jump shot that is both quick and repetitive for her as every single shot she takes looks exactly the same. As impressive as her arsenal of moves are she has counters to a lot of things defenses throw at her as well making her an extremely dangerous player on offense. [player_tooltip player_id="156059" first="Lily" last="Cayley"] ’23 - Eau Claire Memorial - As a 5’8 guard she is extremely skilled when the ball is in her hands. She has the ability to create, not just good but, great shots for herself and her teammates. Not only can she create good shots but she can score it at a high level anywhere she wants. Her skills are not just on ball she is also great at finding weak spots in zones or punishing her defender from helping off of her a little too much and as a result, she will knock down open shots with relative ease. Brooke Lechleitner ’22 - Lake Holcombe - This 6’0 forward brings a lot of energy to her team by doing a lot of things that lead to winning like rebounding both offensively and defensively, divining on the floor, and pushing the pace as a big. Her jump shot has a little bit to go to get to where it can be, but she has touch on her shots at the rim that shows she can improve her jumper a great deal still. Even with that little bit of development, she is awesome right now in the way she can use both her size and quickness to attack different types of defenders and defenses. She also tends to be in good positions to get her hands on the ball and make energy plays that can get her team out of slumps and or dry spells on offense. [player_tooltip player_id="262980" first="Makenna" last="Rohrscheib"] ’22 - Regis High School - This is a very decorated 5’10 guard with a very high-level two-way game. On the offensive side of the ball, she has the ability to score anywhere on the floor in almost any manner, the most impressive part of her game is her ability to go for off-hand floaters and make it seem natural. Her jumper looks great and the results are what you’d expect when you see her shoot, her offensive game is awesome. Defensively she also can also impact games at a high level as well. She does a great job anticipating passes and jumping the passing lanes averaging multiple steals every game last season. Her ability to heavily influence games on both sides of the floor makes her a very interesting uncommitted prospect heading into her senior season.
