<p class="p1">The PGH Washington Summer Showcase took place on August 14th and the talent on display was very impressive to say the least. Team 5 featured several standout players who raised their stock at the showcase with several being legitimate college prospects *All players listed are Washington based prospects unless otherwise noted</p>
<p class="p2">2023 5’3 PG [player_tooltip player_id="317640" first="Sophie" last="Bronson"] (Nixyaawii School) Elite shooter who utilizes her stellar ball handling and footwork to effectively create space to get her shot off. Intense, feisty on-ball defender who made it very difficult for opposing guards to put the ball on the floor. Great passer both in half court and transition.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p class="p2">2023 5’6 G [player_tooltip player_id="317642" first="Lauren" last="Wright"] (West Seattle HS) Tough point guard who pushes tempo. Leads the break well. Not afraid to attack the basket and finish through contact with either hand. Knock-down shooter beyond the arc.</p>
<p class="p2">2025 5’6 G [player_tooltip player_id="317648" first="Keirra" last="Thompson"] (Camas HS) Reads defenses better than most seniors. Has an incredible ability to know where to be on the floor to create spacing for her team. Gets to her spots and makes the defense pay. Stays ready to shoot if left open and ready to attack if a defender over plays.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p class="p2">2025 5’6 G [player_tooltip player_id="317645" first="Chelsey" last="Cobb"] (Central Kitsap HS) Guard with great knack for anticipating where rebounds will go and beating her opponents to them. Makes great reads off offensive rebounds. Very good touch on her shot especially from mid range and on floaters.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p class="p2">2025 5’9 SG [player_tooltip player_id="317647" first="Zoe" last="Hamillton"] (Eastside Catholic) Possesses stellar ability to create and finish through contact with either hand. Uses length to finish over taller defenders on offense and to disrupt passing lanes on defense.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p class="p2">2022 5’7 PG [player_tooltip player_id="27937" first="Leila" last="Hosn"] (Bishop Blanchet HS) Floor general who is extremely confident with the ball in her hands. Sees the floor well and throws better entry passes than most guards. Gets to the rim and finishes with either hand. Has above average post footwork for her position.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p class="p2">2024 5’10 CG [player_tooltip player_id="279611" first="Lucy" last="Larson"] (West Seattle HS) Deceptively quick combo guard. Utilizes great ball handling to attack her spots. Forces defenses to collapse and makes the right pass when they do. Finishes extremely well at the rim.</p>
<p class="p2">2023 5’11 SF [player_tooltip player_id="115411" first="Maddy" last="Rendall"] (Kamiakin HS) Wing player who can beat defenders one on one to get to the basket. Confident shooter beyond the arc who’s length allows her to hit contested jumpers others couldn’t get off. Good help defender who can matchup 1-5.</p>
<p class="p2">2025 5’7 G [player_tooltip player_id="317646" first="Layla" last="Senderson"] 5’7” 2025 (Union HS) Guard with willingness and skill set to play at both the one and two. Good size and strength that allowed her to hold her own against the physicality she faced. Will have a smooth transition to high school and should contribute immediately for Union.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
