Season Preview: Northeast Florida Players to Watch-Part 3

More talented players to watch - Part 3 <em>Players are listed in alphabetical order.</em> <strong>Tai Baldwin</strong> | University Christian | ’22 Tai can do a little bit of everything on the court.  She is probably most known as a scorer but at the end of the night, she checks the boxes in multiple areas.  She averaged 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 steal last season. <strong>Terrielle Clark</strong> | San Jose Prep | ’24 Terrielle is an absolute pest on defense and rebounds well from the guard position which leads to easy lay-ups in transition.  She is a slasher on offense and finishes through contact at the basket.  She can also hit the deep ball from three.  Terrielle started most games during her freshman campaign and looks to have an impressive sophomore season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="248345" first="Clare" last="Coyle"]</strong> | Bishop Kenny | ’24 Clare was a starter as a freshman on a team that had been to 2 consecutive final fours.  That should tell you everything you need to know about the type of player she is.  She is best known for her defense and rebounding but is a capable scorer around the basket.  She was relied on a lot last year to guard the best post player on the opposing team and held up to the challenge each time.  This year she will be relied on to score a little more. <strong>Morgan Gavazzi</strong> | San Jose Prep | ’24 Morgan is a true point guard.  She runs the team well and looks to set her teammates up first.  She can also create scoring opportunities for her self.  She fearlessly attacks the rim but is best known as a knockdown 3-point shooter.  She should pair well with her new teammates as she is surrounded by a loaded sqaud. <strong>Irene Kabassbubo</strong> | Andrew Jackson | ’22 Irene is a rebounding machine which often leads to easy buckets for her and her teammates.  She uses her long athletic frame to alter shots and passes disrupting the opposing team’s rhythm on offense.  Irene is a double, double waiting to happen and you don’t have to run plays for her.  She has a business-like attitude on the court. <strong>Ya’kiya Milton</strong> | University Christian | ’23 Ya’kiya is 6’4, long, athletic and can play anywhere from the 2 to the 5 position on the court.  She can block a shot, get the rebound, push the ball up the court and finish at the basket all in one possession.  She has limitless potential if she continues to put in the work. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="217663" first="Sydney" last="Roundtree"]</strong> | Bishop Kenny | ’24 Sydney is a versatile player with an athletic build and can jump out of the gym.  She has nice touch on her jump shot and rebounds well on both ends of the court.  She was the sixth man last year but should step into a starting role this year with [player_tooltip player_id="91482" first="Jasmyne" last="Roberts"] now at Miami.  Sydney improved consistently throughout last season and played her best basketball when her team needed it most.  Look for her numbers to increase in all areas this year.
