Some players could take you off the driver with the handles, some players could spot up and shoot the daylight out of the ball, some players could run up and down the court like the court is a race track. The following is a list of “Stretch Fours” (power forwards) at the PGH 250 event who showcased their unique skill set of stretching the defense out farther from the basket than regular power forwards. [player_tooltip player_id="247238" first="Alyssa" last="Brasko"] 2023, 6’0″ (Bishop Moore Catholic) showed some really impressive skills at the PGH 250. In one game Brasko recorded a blocked shot, took the ball to the goal for a nice layup, showed excellent passing skills, and executed some nice low post moves. Brasko was relentless on the boards. She rewarded her team with numerous extra possessions on the offensive end and on the defensive end, she rebounded and got the ball out quickly the start the break. She was also not shy about bringing the ball down the court and did a good job of dribbling and handling pressure. Brasko was solid in man-to-man defense and often picked up her man the entire length of the court. She recorded several steals in transition and made some nice passes for buckets. Brasko’s team included two top 2022 ballers ([player_tooltip player_id="91581" first="Jaela" last="Davis"] and [player_tooltip player_id="331720" first="Nataya" last="McGee"]) and Brasko’s competitiveness and passion for the game still shined through. [player_tooltip player_id="248864" first="Mira" last="Hanna"] 2022, 6’1″ (Berkeley Preparatory School) left an impression at the PGH 250 event in Winter Haven. She showed a lot of variety to her game and left a huge impression. Hanna showed that she can play in the post and that she is a crafty player who knows how to score baskets. She showed versatility on offense, shooting the mid-range and knocking down the three. Hanna was also impressive running the floor. [player_tooltip player_id="331714" first="Nacoya" last="Blocton"] 2025, 5’10” (Ridgeview) is in the developing stage, but she is going to be a baller. She fits the description of a power forward- stretch player. She has a powerful build at 5’10,” she can hold her ground inside, she has unbelievable hands. Two plays that occurred during the PGH 250 event come to mind: Her teammate shot a ball off of the rim and Blocton reached behind her head and snagged the rebound, gathered herself, and calmly put the ball in the basket. On another play, she caught an errant entry pass with one hand and calmly put the ball in the basket. Blocton also can score from mid-range and has a good three-point shot. She is going to be a problem as her game develops. [player_tooltip player_id="220009" first="Amya" last="Patterson"] 2022, 6’0″ (Apopka) has already received a lot of recognition for her play in the PGH 250 event in Winter Haven. Patterson is the prototypical "stretch 4" who can get it done on the blocks and then move out of the paint and knock down the jumper. Patterson has taken this skill to a whole new level. In the PGH 250 event, she consistently knocked down three-pointers from all over the court. In one game at PGH 250, Patterson took an inbound pass and made a three-pointer from 2 feet behind the three-point line and then she followed that shot with another three-pointer from the corner. Patterson is primed for having a special senior season in the paint and behind the arc.
