Let me open by saying <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="331901" first="Kayla" last="Herrera"]</strong> and<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="331904" first="Maggie" last="Hutka"]</strong> are omitted because they were on <a href="http://Texas PGH Top 250 Expo 2025 Breakouts"><strong>First Team All-Tournament</strong></a> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="331909" first="Jada" last="West"], [player_tooltip player_id="331948" first="Isabella" last="Stafford"]</strong> and <strong>Dymon Griggs</strong> are also missing because they were on <strong>Second Team All-Tournament</strong>. Now that I have SIMplified things for you, let me give a special S/O to <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="331913" first="Nylah" last="Mundy"]</strong> for coming back after a scare to simply go off. I watch things closely from every aspect, starting with <a href="https://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/columns/story?columnist=hays_graham&id=3832671">my daughter coming back from an ACL injury in 4 months</a> to start for a nationally ranked college team so again, I see everything and there definitely is no me

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="331955" first="Alyssa" last="Berry"]-5’6 PG (Clear Brook HS)</strong>
Berry sweetened things up on the court by showing she could create her shot and take defenders off the dribble with ease yet she also showed the jumper, with a hand in her face, as well as attacking and finishing or attacking and dishing. She plays smart, under control, and within herself plus she also showed she could control the tempo
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-332881" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/09/19-Tianna-Murray.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" />
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="331939" first="Tianna" last="Murray"]-5’’3 PG (Katy Paetow HS)</strong>
Murray makes a nice grease if you want your hair slick yet Murray’s slickness on the court is what I’m rolling with because not only is she fast, she’s fast with the ball, that’s a huge plus and she shows it in every setting I catch her. Her on the ball defense creates problems as she causes turnovers yet she can drop the long ball as well as score off the dribble but those crisp passes in traffic are very nice
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-332912" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/09/103-Jennah-Savage.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" />
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="331940" first="Jennah" last="Savage"]-5’7 SG (St Thomas Episcopal HS)</strong>
Savage was just that on the court and she opened the event up sending messages, not subliminal, not telepathic, and certainly not Western Union but the messages she sent were direct as in "you can’t stop me from scoring" and by showing more aggressiveness attacking the rim, she was exactly right as she showed the "float" she defied gravity a couple of times to score yet that mid to long-range while being defended was very nice, so was her defense
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-332934" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/09/141-Layla-Powell.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" />
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="331967" first="Layla" last="Powell"]-5’6 PG (Fort Worth Christian) </strong>
Powell showed she understood the game off the top and by being heady, she made things happen because she saw the handled the ball and saw the floor, both under pressure yet she also understands how to score off the dribble, and needless to say, she could dish the ball on the money going full speed but guess what else I loved, she played the passing lane
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-332928" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/09/120-Lizette-Landry.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" />
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="331957" first="Lizette" last="Landry"]-6’0 SF (Wylie East HS)</strong>
Landry has the surname of one of my favorite restaurants yet she was cooking on the court with "cayenne" as well. First of all, she’s "long and athletic" and course, that’s the base yet she does so many things on the court like block shots and defend inside the paint, or she’s on the ball baseline to baseline yet she plays the passing lane and since she handles the ball well, she scores going the other way, she scores off the dribble as well and then she started dropping the long ball and that did it for me
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="331913" first="Nylah" last="Mundy"]-6’1 PF (Frisco Independence HS)</strong>
Mundy was tough before she was injured, I thought she was done yet she came back with a vengeance as she was overpowering inside the paint to rebound, on both ends, and score off of putbacks, after contact included. She also scored off the dribble from wherever she wanted, she too is "long and athletic" and she too "plays the passing lane" yet her power on the inside was very good
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-332937" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/09/144-Machila-Dews.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" />
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="331916" first="Machila" last="Dews"]-5’8 CG (Whitehouse HS)</strong>
Dews definitely paid her dues and what she did throughout the event was impressive. I love watching players "play the passing lane" as opposed to watching someone catch the ball from 20 feet away and play defense, that makes no sense yet she stole the ball and scored that way and used her athleticism to score off the dribble and off putbacks, yes she rebounds strongly on both ends and hit jumpers
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-332949" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/09/153-Priscilla-Anciso.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" />
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="331970" first="Priscilla" last="Anciso"]-5’7 SG (Rockwall HS) </strong>
Aniciso was one of the best shooters at the event, maybe I’ll come back with a story on them yet she creates her shot while being tightly guarded, which means the same as "under pressure" and she understands how to get spacing to drop her shot from deep. She dropped the long ball consistently yet she also showed something else I love and that was her ability to "catch and shoot"
