is committed to East Texas A&M to compete at the next level and I think she is going to make an immediate impact within that program. Gatwech is lengthy, skilled, and agile for her height at her position. She is very good using her long arms and big strides in the open court to create easy opportunities for herself or others that may become open. Defensively, she can switch between the 1-4 or even the 5 on the high school floor but at the next level she will most likely stay between the 1-3. As of most recent, Gatwech broke her LNS High School’s record for points throughout a varsity career. She currently sits with 1,112 and counting as we move into the last few weeks of the Winter season. The breaking of this record occurred because this is someone who stacked her days from week to week and that helped her build on her weakness over the past couple of seasons. This is just a small example of what Gatwech can do and what she can bring to the floor at the next level.

plays with has always been tough to matchup against from a defensive standpoint. When Gatwech is playing with her full confidence and in her bag, she is really tough to slow down. Her natural size, her ability to go either way while attacking, her touch to hit a finish at the rim or a floater, and her unselfishness keeps her as a tough read. Not to mention, her Lincoln North Star team is going to be loaded with talent once again so it’s not like you can double her too often without paying for it but that’s why most team’s that see this program down the stretch, attempt to play zone against them in the half court. A strategy that doesn’t usually seem to work for the opposition too often.

of Lincoln North Star High School is another prospect that puts up nice numbers in the BPG category throughout her seasons, every year she competes. Gatwech has natural length and athletic ability. She is a guard that adapts to situations in the blink of an eye, she has fast feet, and her active hands to gets a lot of tips or deflections on the basketball. For someone that competes at the guard position primarily, she averaged just under 2 BPG during the 2023-2024 high school season. I love this number as it shows that she competes on both sides of the floor, never taking plays off. Lincoln North Star is in for an interesting year ahead and I’m excited to see what they can put together.

There is a lot of question marks for myself about

as it pertains to her future on the hardwood. Gatwech has a high ceiling and some impressive ability. She just needs to stay motivated and demonstrate that she can play in any type of system moving forward. Over the past couple of years, she has been consistent in her production on the floor. I just know she can take her play style to a whole other level within the right situation. She has great size at 6’0, natural instincts on both ends of the floor, and she makes some impressive skill moves. This next season, Lincoln North Star High School will have a chance to bring home a title and Gatwech will be an important piece to their success. If she can play with full confidence and doesn’t hold anything back, while others around her do their jobs, it should end up well for their group.

just put together another impressive high school season, helping her team get to the State Tournament. Gatwech is one of those players that just has moments. She honestly doesn’t take over the game as much as I would like but she has the ability to at any moment. She is another Guard on this team that stands around 5’10/5’11 and she can GO. She is extremely skilled in when the ball hits her hands each possession, while being fundamentally sound. This is one of those prospects where you might not think she is going to kill you but if you don’t account for her, she will have 20-7-5 in the blink of an eye. This coaching staff is going to have some business decision to make as to who starts, who stays on the floor in crunch time, and who they should run their offense through. This is a situation where it’s also important to realize that these players in these positions, might change every game depending on who is playing well. Individually though, Gatwech is nice and this group is going to help her be able to show off her complete skill-set.

. She may have not of put up the biggest or best stat line but the takes she had toward the hoop are impressive, while playing some stout defense in the full court. Not to mention that she works hard. She is the first to be on the floor and that was on display on Wednesday afternoon. If you are looking into the potential that a player might have, Gatwech becomes very interesting in that conversation. She could do some real good in the right collegiate system at the end of the day. She earns every minute she gets and that’s something everyone can respect. She took over in the second half of this Gator’s win and that was vital for them to move onto Round #2.

a handful of times at this point over the past season because of her mixture of size and skill with the basketball in her hands. Gatwech is a difference maker in every sense of the phrase. Someone that is going to pull out some skill moves that will make you say, “WOW”, multiple times throughout a contest. When you pair this ability with her size at 6’0, it’s impressive. On Saturday afternoon at the end of her game against Gretna High School, Gatwech had registered 14 points on 6-10 shooting, along with grabbing 2 rebounds, and causing 4 turnover’s defensively. This Lincoln North Star High School team only has 7-8 players on roster and most of them are underclassmen. They have been a team that has competed each season the past few years and I would expect that to continue with their currently personal on roster.

of Lincoln North Star High School. Gatwech, a 5’11 Guard, is very skilled. She has a deep offensive “bag” that is always good enough to get a clean look at the basket, whenever she is trying to attack. Defensively she is lengthy. She has long arms and quick hands, leading to a lot of tips and deflections on that side of the ball. I like Gatwech in this spot because of her ceiling. At times she pulls out moves during a game that make you really think about how much she could produce in the correct collegiate setting. Pair that along with her natural size and we are talking about a player that should dominate most of her matchups on the high school floor. I’ll be keeping a close eye on Gatwech and this team moving forward. They are going to be in the State conversation at the end of the year as long as they continue to play as a team and keep a positive attitude when things get tough.

is an intersting prospect coming in at #6 in this 2025 Player Rankings Update. Gatwech stands at around 6’0 FT with long arms and a high motor. She displays glimpses of high level skills with the ball in her hands each game she competes in it seems like. Gatwech is the type of player, that if she can become more efficient with her movements on the floor, she will break our Top 5 before you know it. Her mixture of size, athleticism, and skill is eye-opening to any scout watching her out there, she just needs to stay dedicated and good things will happen.
