<p class="p1">The Battle for the Cure included many young athletes competing against one another for a single cause: to raise money for breast cancer research.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Here are some of the standout performers in the class of 2026 from Lady Attack Elite.</p>
<p class="p1"><b>Jeta North</b> (pictured above) was effective sealing off her opponents in the paint making sure her guards had the best opening to give her a pass and score.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She made herself a nuisance on defense grabbing steals and pushing it up the court herself showing off a nice jump stop from the block to put up her shot.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Even with her height, she finds ways to sneak behind the defense and grab a pass to score.</p>
<p class="p1"><b>Madison Owen</b> is a good ball handler knowing how to get to the hoop and finish at the rim.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She battles through contact making sure the opponents have to foul to try to stop her.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She sees the floor well knowing as the point guard to move her body to make the most effective entry pass to her teammates.</p>
<p class="p1"><b>Emma Montanari</b> runs the floor well finishing at the rim in transition.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She showed off her range shooting from deep, and she was a tenacious defender playing at the top of the key knocking the ball away from her opponents.</p>
<p class="p1"><b>Mackenzie Ortschied</b> is strong in the paint battling for rebounds, and she knows exactly how to put back up offensive boards making her opponents pay on multiple occasions.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She can step back and show off her range shooting the ball, or she can put her head down and drive from the top of the key.</p>
<p class="p1"><b>Marlee Whitten</b> showed off her ability to grab some boards and put it right back up on the offensive side.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She had a nice up and under move that she used to get by her opponents and score.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>These athletes are definitely playing with high IQs beyond their years.</p>
