PGH Missouri Top 250 Expo Standouts: Second Team

My next round of standouts from this past weekend’s expo include some of the top overall scorers from the event. Not only did these hoopers separate themselves from the pack offensively, but they were also tenacious on defense. With that said, here's my PGH Missouri Top 250 Expo Second Team. 2023 5-7 CG <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/myra-claas/">[player_tooltip player_id="107020" first="Myra" last="Claas"]</a> – Tipton Arguably the best shooter in the gym as she has incredible range and consistency from downtown. Lethal on catch-and-shoots and can pull up from anywhere she pleases. On top of that, she has an incredible dribble drive and ankle-breaking moves to make head-turning plays around the rim. Can defend the opposition for the entire length of the court while making precise attempts to take the ball away. Secures boards. 2024 5-7 CG [player_tooltip player_id="213188" first="Jayla" last="Cornelius"] – Blue Springs Extremely high motor to fly around the court in order to make plays on both ends. Draws a lot of attention inside due to her scoring ability, which allows her to kick the ball out often for threes. Fields several moves to beat defenders such as the spin and has excellent use of her pivot foot. Can also hit jumpers as she showed off her ability to make them in the perimeter. Lethal passer who delivers lobs down the court or no-look dishes. 2022 5-8 SG [player_tooltip player_id="304380" first="Kaya" last="Goldsby"] – Kickapoo Dominant scorer when attacking the basket as she drives to the rim with a full head of steam. Along with her toughness, she has a fine-tuned euro step to slash through defenses for easy buckets. Opportunistic on defense as she turns most of her takeaways into fast-break scores whether she takes it herself or lobs the ball to a teammate. Rim protector as she's always looking to swat shot attempts and does so with force. 2023 5-8 CG [player_tooltip player_id="344793" first="Logan" last="Jones"] – Mansfield Simply one of the most dynamic scorers at the entire event. Absolutely dangerous with her pull-up jumper as she has the ability to do so from a variety of ranges and off the dribble. Drives to the rim with ease and poise while having fantastic touch on her floaters. Goes on scoring runs of her own in a hurry. Excellent ball handler who always makes the right decision passing or holding onto the ball. Rebounds well. 2024 5-4 CG [player_tooltip player_id="344800" first="Ariana" last="Mosley"] – Kickapoo She's a fast-break score waiting to happen either off a steal of her own or being down court ready for the ball to be heaved her way. Fields excellent moves to attack the basket with her athleticism and stride while possessing a smooth floater. Has a great jump shot with the ability to hit from mid. Reads well defensively in order to swipe the ball away. Also pushes the ball well. 2023 5-8 CG <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/daejah-richmond/">[player_tooltip player_id="344784" first="Daejah" last="Richmond"]</a> – First Assembly Christian (TN) Plays with the type of swagger that you can't help but to be in awe of. Incredible handle and flies around the court to make a handful of plays both offensively and defensively in a short span. Finds the basket with the best of them as she jets to the rim after only needing one move to beat defenders. Top-notch, creative passer who delivers bullets. Gets after it on defense and makes leaps for the ball.
