Diaz showed up with her signature hustle factor throughout the course of the season, but it’s been on full display as MSC made it to the postseason. In addition to stellar activity on the boards and providing versatile defense, Kaylis also finished fearlessly when she had was looked to. Her confidence is growing as a creator under the 3-pointline which is going to round out her entire game nicely. Diaz is becoming a name to know.

In MSC’s game vs Wheeler a few nights ago, Diaz had an impressive 18 rebounds to go along with 11 pts plus 3 reb. This double-double performance characterizes Kaylis’ game perfectly. She strives each game to make a difference and going into the post season this is someone that’s likely to raise her level of play too. Kaylis is looking like she’s prepared to make an impact unlike most other freshman forwards.

Kaylis is one of the hardest working forwards in her class. Diaz made this point by having yet another 20-rebound game. She has intrinsic attributes that allow her to have an immediate impact no matter what her role is. There’s room for optimism with her scoring upside and she’s a high IQ player that understands the moment. A prospect with all these qualities, plus the great hustle characteristics illustrate a player that can have a major influence in any given game. The value she’s brought to MSC is unmatched this year. She’s an incredibly important piece to keep an eye on as the season progresses.

Kaylis has had some monster performances this season, including a game against Montrose School where she recorded 15 points, 23 rebounds, and 4 steals, numbers that almost look like they came from a video game. Earlier in December, she also pulled down 23 rebounds in a game against Ethel Walker. On the season, Kaylis is averaging over 10 rebounds per game and has been a dominant presence in the paint on both ends of the court. She plays with relentless energy and a motor that never stops, bringing the type of hustle every coach wants. As just a freshman, Kaylis already shows a very bright future ahead.

There’re just not many players with the heart, hustle and spirit that Diaz has. Her overall game has grown immensely over the years, but her intrinsic values are so vital to winning. Kaylis doesn’t take away from the other talented players she shares the floor with either; she’ll do whatever the team asks of her. The rebounding on both sides of the ball, along with her high-motor are indispensable. Kaylis is listed as the #18 player in the class.

MSC has benefited greatly from the addition of Diaz to the team. The freshman came over and made an immediate impact with her stifling 2-wau energy. Her performance vs Ethel Wlaker was particularly eye-catching. Kaylis secured 23 boards and she’s just a freshman. Diaz’s imprint will be felt on the game, no matter what. She really leaves it all out there on the court, showing maximum effort and hustle to give her team the best opportunity to win.

Diaz decided to transfer to MSC and this news is absolutely thrilling. Kaylis has always been one of those players that could affect the game with just sheer effort. At the core of her game, Kaylis purely outworks competitors with her high motor. Over time though, she’s been steadily adding to her sweeping skillset. Kaylis rebounds with the best of them, finishes through contact without seeking calls, is a pesty on-ball defender as well as a phenomenal help-side one too. The versatile positional value Diaz brings will raise the bar for MSC this upcoming season.

As a freshman last year with Mansfield, Diaz’s role was limited at times due to seniority, but her hardworking qualities made it hard to deny her minutes. With Kaylis suiting up for Mount Saint Charles now, she’ll have an opportunity to shine in a much bigger role that can help seriously propel this squad. She has a versatile skillset with a ton of positive 2-way tendencies.
