2019 Division 1 signees in Washington- Part 1

Where are the top seniors in Washington headed for college? Prep Girls Hoops has closely monitored the recruitment of players all across Washington and their is no shortage of talent in the Evergreen State. Nearly two dozen seniors will be playing at the Division 1 level next fall. In a 4 part series, we will break down which players are headed to Division 1 from the state of Washington! 2019 6'4 PF/C JaQuaya Miller (Kentridge HS) - The state's highest rated prospect is staying home to play at the University of Washington. Miller is a mixture of power and finesse with high level passing skills for a big. UW will be able to utilize her from the low block or high post and she will add some much needed size for UW to compete in the Pac-12. 2019 6'0 G Brynna Maxwell (Gig Harbor HS) - The best player in Gig Harbor history left her school with numerous records and most importantly, a 3A state championship. Brynna can stroke it from the outside, handle the ball versus pressure and make reads off the pick and roll. She will be taking her impressive perimeter skills to the University of Utah, who finished 20-10 on the season. 2019 6'0 SF Oumou Toure (Kamiakin HS) - The all time leading scorer in Kamiakin's history put up big scoring and rebounding numbers for four years. She was a consistent performer that could truly put up 20 points on an off night. She will take her powerful style of play to Butler University, of the Big East, where she will fit right in with the physicality we do not see on the west coast as much. 2019 6'0 SF Jacinta Buckley (Lewis and Clark HS) - Jactina was easily one of the most recruited seniors in the class, but she ultimately found UNLV as a perfect fit for her. The left-handed wing player can play multiple positions on the floor and provides a pass-first style that teammates will enjoy to play with. Even more so, she is a lock down defender that makes every shot difficult for her opponent. There's a good chance she will see early playing time as a freshman. 2019 6'3 C Brooke Walling (Prairie HS) - The 3A state champion and MVP signed with Fresno State University. Anyone that follows women's basketball knows that Fresno State has been as consistent as almost any program on the west coast for the last 20 seasons. They are almost always near the top of their league and Brooke is hoping to carry on that tradition. The left-handed post is the best outside shooting big in the state and she will provide a steady inside-out presence at the next level.
