La’niya Simes La’niya Simes 5'10" | SF East Forsyth | 2023 State NC (East Forsyth 2023 guard)
Junior guard La’niya Simes La’niya Simes 5'10" | SF East Forsyth | 2023 State NC ’ performance in this game was nothing short of dominant. Simes was spectacular scoring 27 of her teams 55 points while playing every second of this contest for the Eagles. She took efficient shots, rebounded well, anchored the defense, got to the line and made her free throws when it mattered most. Simes holds multiple division one offers including one from nearby High Point.
Natalie Axtell (East Forsyth 2022 guard)
Another player who stepped up big especially in the final minutes was senior guard Natalie Axtell. She did well against pressure defense by not turning the ball over and getting into the lane for easy looks inside. Axtell stepped to the line and also knocked down some crucial free throw to put the game away for her team.
Amaya Glenn Amaya Glenn 5'5" | PG Reagan | 2023 NC (Reagan 2023 guard)
Despite battling foul trouble most of the night, Amaya Glenn Amaya Glenn 5'5" | PG Reagan | 2023 NC played a great game for Reagan scoring 17 points to lead the way. She’s a knockdown three point shooter and the primary ball handler who facilitates well and makes great decisions with the basketball. Expect her to be one of the top guards in the 336 area code this season for the Raiders.
Emma Pendleton (Reagan 2023 forward)
The Raiders started going to Emma Pendleton in the post when Glenn got in foul trouble during the second half. She was able to score in the paint and provide great rim protection on the other end of the floor. When Pendleton is making plays for the Raiders, she’s a matchup problem thanks to her skill set and basketball IQ.
