Hailey Holcombe-2024-Midlothian
Hailey had a strong showing to start her high school career at Midlothian. Played varsity for Blessed Sacrament in 8th grade, missed her freshman season due to COVID and transferred to Midlothian to start the school year. She scored 12pts to go along with 2 steals, 7 rebounds. Played a solid overall game, shooting 50% from 3pt line and showed her ability to put the ball on the floor and score in the paint.
Celeste Bailey Celeste Bailey 5'8" | CG Princess Anne | 2024 State VA -2024-Princess Anne
Celeste put together a nice game for her first of the season, finishing with 16 points and 5 rebounds. She added a couple steals with good on ball defender, she slides her feet well and gets around screens. She wasn’t phased by the physicality of the game, maintaining her composure. Able to get into the lane and finish at the basket and nice form on her shot. She was able to elevate over defenders on her mid-range pull-ups.
Faith Brown-2022-Matoaca
Faith came off the bench to score 26pts for Matoaca, her offensive effort kept her team in the game against a balanced Glen Allen team. Faith played solid defense, getting several steals and her quickness was problematic for opposing guards. She was patient offensively, never seemed rattled when Glen Allen went on a run. She applied pressure all night attacking the basket finishing over taller players. Faith had a nice mid-range game and made several 3s on the night.
Lindsey Shoulders Lindsey Shoulders 5'9" | SF Glen Allen | 2025 State VA -2025-Glen Allen
Lindsey is a worker, she rebounds well and plays bigger than her size at 5’9. She gave Matoaca trouble all night on the boards, she rebounds offensively at a high level. She just wants the ball more than anyone else. She got to the line, finished around the basket and hustles defensively. Lindsey finished her first high school game with a double double, 12pts and 11 rebounds.
Ayanna McNair-2023-Heritage
This was my first time seeing Ayanna, she has good size and can play multiple positions. She has nice footwork in the paint and was able to get to foul line. Can put the ball on the floor and get to the basket, did a nice job getting into the lane and scoring at the rim. Defensively, she reads the passing lanes and challenges shots in the paint. She did a nice job rotating and cutting off baseline.
Sasha Brody-2025-VES
Sasha had a big game, scoring 22 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Excellent rebounding guard at 5’7, she displayed maturity and toughness beyond her years. This kid is the real deal, she put these numbers up against a committed D1 player. Sasha had her way all night, attacking the lane and shooting from 3. Defenders bounced off her, she is strong and confident and was able to lead her team to a big victory.
