Madison Nereu | Green Level | SF
Nereu does a great job expanding the floor on offense and seemingly shrinking the floor on defense. She can shoot from deep or drive to the basket. She does a great job being part of a play getting the pass inside and making a nice dime to her teammate cutting to the hoop. On defense, she uses her length and anticipation to jump into passing lanes, and she can certainly take these steals the other direction herself.
Precious Ogboko | Durham School of the Arts | PF
It’s become a normal occurrence to see Ogboko (pictured above) get a double-double with her team this year. She is a force inside battling through contact for some points, and she fights for every rebound. She does an excellent job sealing off her opponents to get the entry pass. She scores easily even when her back starts to the basket. She also flashes in the paint trailing in transition to score some points. She uses her height to see the floor well finding her open teammates for their own points.
Trinity Moreland Trinity Moreland 6'2" | C Julian Chambers | 2022 NC | Julius Chambers | C
Moreland is a force in the paint blocking shots and making it difficult for other teams to score anywhere near her. She grabs rebounds for her team, and she sees the floor well pushing it up the court finding her teammates flashing down the lanes. Her post moves are fun to watch with her up and under moves and power dribbles that she uses to get into position and score. Her ability to absorb contact and still score is definitely something she can take to the next level.
