Maxpreps keeps a running list of the top teams in the state. This ranking is based on a mathematical equation that balances a team’s win-loss record and strength of schedule taking into account their opponent’s win-loss record as well. Below are the top five teams in the state according to Maxpreps.
1) Tumwater High School (2A)
17-1 Overall Record
Strength of Schedule: 10.3
<ul>
<li>2022 5’5 G [player_tooltip player_id="350469" first="Aubrey" last="Amendala"] and 2022 6’0 PF [player_tooltip player_id="375546" first="Natalie" last="Sumrok"] lead this group in scoring on the season. Amendala is committed to Dixie State and Sumrok is headed to Western Colorado respectively.</li>

2) Mead High School (3a)
15-0 Overall Record
Strength of Schedule: 7.6
<ul>
<li>Mead has a nucleus of players that lead their group with 2022 6’0 PF [player_tooltip player_id="185649" first="Parker" last="Brown"] headed to Air Force, 2022 5’7 PG [player_tooltip player_id="22332" first="Olivia" last="Moore"], 2024 5’9 SG [player_tooltip player_id="367306" first="Teryn" last="Gardner"] and 2022 5’10 SF [player_tooltip player_id="27952" first="Alicia" last="Suggs"]. Moore and Suggs are both recruitable players for college at some level.</li>

3) Pasco High School (4A)
15-0 Overall Record
Strength of Schedule: 8.2
<ul>
<li>2022 5’7 PG [player_tooltip player_id="27930" first="Mya" last="Hatchett Groce"] is having as strong of a season Pasco has seen at the guard position in several years. 2022 5’10 C [player_tooltip player_id="27940" first="Taija" last="Mackey"] is holding it down in the paint. Both prospects remain unsigned.</li>

4) Woodinville High School (4A)
16-1 Overall Record
Strength of Schedule: 8.2

<li>Woodinville has a core of quality players with top prospects including San Diego signee 2022 5’8 PG [player_tooltip player_id="27947" first="Veronica" last="Sheffey"], Boise State signee 2022 6’0 SF [player_tooltip player_id="156428" first="Tatum" last="Thompson"], 2023 5’10 SG [player_tooltip player_id="144535" first="Brooke" last="Beresford"] and 2024 6’2 PF [player_tooltip player_id="327838" first="Jacey" last="Eggers"]. This group has all of the tools to win a 4A state title. Their lone loss came against number one Tumwater.</li>

5) Tahoma High School (4A)
14-2 Overall Record
Strength of Schedule: 9.6

<li>Tahoma is yet another contender in the 4A classification. LMU commit 2023 6’0 SF [player_tooltip player_id="115415" first="Amelie" last="Sitterud"] is a versatile threat from the wing, Cal Poly commit 2023 5’7 PG [player_tooltip player_id="115402" first="Hope" last="Hassmann"] is a big time scoring guard and 2023 5’7 SG [player_tooltip player_id="115398" first="Angie" last="Cavanaugh"] is another strong scoring option from the guard position.</li>
