With the postseason upon us and all of conference play having concluded in Southeast Missouri, it’s time to reveal the best of the best. Therefore, I have created the Prep Girls Hoops All-Southeast Missouri first, second and third teams. Each team will be composed of five players apiece from the SEMO and Scott-Miss Conference. Here’s the PGH All-Southeast Missouri Second Team:
2023 5’4″ CG Ki Bogan Ki Bogan 5'2" | CG Cape Central | 2023 State MO , Cape Central: Someone to always keep an eye on since she makes plays in a heartbeat. Has next-level speed and quickness to be the most dangerous fast-break scorer in Southeast Missouri. Creates ample scoring opportunities for herself and teammates because of her ability to pick ball handler’s pockets. Slashes opposing defenses and makes great use of her spin move. Pushes ball well.
2022 5’6″ SG Kacie Daigger Kacie Daigger 5'6" | SG Scott City | 2022 State MO , Scott City: One of the deadliest threats from beyond the arc in Southeast Missouri. Can hit 3-pointers from the logo as she has impeccable range. Efficient scorer with a nice drive, finish and a smooth floater for easy buckets. Facilitates well and kicks the ball out to shooters with ease. Also fields a nice pump fake. Has made strides defensively.
2024 5’6″ CG Presley Holweg Presley Holweg 5'5" | CG Delta | 2024 State MO , Delta: Definition of a scrappy player. Always gunning to make plays on both ends of the court. Catches and shoots with a quick release, while also having a running back-esque drive to the rim. Also uses smooth moves like the euro step and floater for easy buckets. Incredible court vision to pick off passes for fast-break opportunities. Fights and positions well for rebounds.
2022 5’9″ CG Jordyn McClellan Jordyn McClellan 5'9" | SG Jackson | 2022 State MO , Jackson: One of the smoothest and most controlled players one can find in Southeast Missouri. Incredible shooting stroke from mid and 3-point range as she can get in a rhythm knocking down treys. Has the quickness to only need one move to burst past defenders for easy buckets. Crafty passer who facilitates with patience and poise.
2023 5’10″ SG Katie Waller Katie Waller 5'10" | SG Jackson | 2023 State MO , Jackson: Absolute slasher when attacking the rim and can hit pull-up jumpers with the best of them. Has significant range as defenders should start drawing in on her once she crosses half court. Smooth and creative with the ball in her hands. Loves to make one-handed dishes on the go. Opportunistic defender who strikes when the iron is hot defensively.
