Here are the top standouts from Friday’s semifinals games.
Class 5
Whitfield
JaNyla Bush JaNyla Bush 5'4" | PG Link Academy | 2024 State MO : The 5’5″ 2024 point guard scored a game-high 24 points in the victory over Webster Groves. She drained three consecutive 3-pointers in the third quarter to break the game open and she dazzled the crowd with her ball handling skills throughout the game.
Treazure Jackson Treazure Jackson 5'10" | SF Whitfield | 2023 State MO : The 5’9″ 2023 guard had 12 points against Webster Groves on five of eight shooting from the field. She’s an excellent two-way player who can slash to the basket on offense and guard multiple positions on defense.
Tkiyah Nelson Tkiyah Nelson 5'10" | CG Whitfield | 2023 State MO : The 5’11” 2023 wing had eight points, six rebounds, three assists and a block against Webster Groves. She’s an excellent all-purpose player with good length and a high basketball IQ to go along with her versatility.
Webster Groves
Ellie Paloucek Ellie Paloucek 5'6" | PG Webster Groves | 2022 State MO : The 5’6″ 2022 guard finished with a team-high 13 points and five rebounds against Whitfield.
Sophia Nittinger: The 6’2″ 2022 Eastern Michigan recruit had 11 points and eight rebounds against Whitfield. She finished well around the basket and handled herself well inside against Whitfield’s tall and talented front line.
West Plains
Ashton Judd Ashton Judd 5'11" | SF West Plains | 2022 State MO : The 6’0″ 2022 Mizzou recruit had a game-high 20 points and six rebounds in the victory over Smithville.
Allyssa Joyner: The 6’0″ 2024 forward had 14 points, three rebounds and five steals against Smithville. She has good mobility to go along with her height as she played the passing lanes well on the press while making five of her six field goal attempts from the field.
Smithville
Peyton Wohlford: The 6’1″ 2025 forward had 11 points and four rebounds against West Plains. The youngster had an impressive showing on the big stage as she handled the ball well and knocked down three 3-pointers, including two consecutive triples at the end of the first half as Smithville battled the Lady Zizzers to a halftime tie.
Mackenzie Moses: The 5’10” 2022 guard had nine points, three rebounds and three assists against West Plains. She plays a number of different roles for her team with her versatility. She has the size to go inside and score, plus she can be a playmaker with her ball handling and passing.
Class 4
Benton
Lauren Burright: The 5’9″ 2022 forward had a solid overall game in the victory over Helias. She had 14 points and five rebounds while making five of her eight field goal attempts. She operates inside well against taller defenders with her moves and good shooting touch around the basket.
Kelsey Johnson: The 5’11” 2023 wing had 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists in the victory over Helias. She is versatile with her height and overall skill level as she can handle the ball and shoot the 3-pointer.
Helias
Gabrielle Bax: The 5’6″ 2022 guard finished with 11 points and five rebounds against Benton. She has enjoyed an excellent postseason as she comes off the bench to provide a big spark at both ends of the court.
Adalyn Koelling Adalyn Koelling 6'1" | SF Helias Catholic | 2024 State MO : The 6’1′ 2024 forward had nine points, seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks against Benton. Her size and skill level enable her to excel anywhere on the court and stuff the stat sheet as well.
John Burroughs
Allie Turner Allie Turner 5'8" | CG John Burroughs | 2024 State MO : The 5’8″ 2024 point guard had 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and three steals in the victory over St. James. The talented floor leader excels at both ends with her scoring, playmaking and defense. She also knocked down three 3-pointers.
Monet Witherspoon: The 5’6″ 2024 guard had 14 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals in the victory over St. James. She has good quickness and athleticism and she knows how to play the game.
Sydney Starks: The 5’9″ 2023 guard had nine points, seven rebounds and three steals in the victory over St. James. She has a nice perimeter shot and she has the length to be a factor on the defensive end when the Bombers apply the full court pressure.
St James
Kendall Costopolos: The 5’9″ 2024 forward finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and two steals against John Burroughs. She plays well around the basket and she can make a perimeter shot.
Alyson Bullock Alyson Bullock 5'10" | SG St. James | 2022 State MO : The 5’10” 2022 forward had a near double-double with 11 points and eight rebounds against John Burroughs.
