I had yet to see Braylin Terrell Braylin Terrell 6'2" | PF/C Walton-Verona | 2025 State KY play in-person so she was one of my must see players during the AAU season. As I approached court 41 I noticed #7 immediately! She is a towering figure with a incredible wingspan and a ton of skill to go along with her physical tools. Braylin is very agile and athletic for her size. She runs the floor very well, and uses her length to alter shots at the perimeter and block shots in the paint. She is a excellent rebounder, that can score with her back to the basket and face-up and make mid-range jumpers.

Walton-Verona has one the top post players in Northern Kentucky in Braylin Terrell Braylin Terrell 6'2" | PF/C Walton-Verona | 2025 State KY . The 6’2 forward averaged a double-double on the season scoring 11.6 PPG, and pulled down 10 RPG. Braylin is a special talent with a very unique skill set. She can handle the ball like a guard, score at a high percentage inside, crash the boards on both ends, and protect the rim at all cost. Braylin had a game back in February, where she dropped 20 points, went 10/10 from the field, and collected 10 rebounds, along with 9 blocks.

Terrell is one of the best shot blockers you’re going to find in Kentucky. The 6’2 junior doesn’t just rely on her height, but rather she has excellent timing and decision making skills. While she can obviously block players she’s guarding 1-on-1, what makes her skillset even more impressive is that she’ll do things like sliding across the paint in help defense or chasing down players on fast breaks to get blocks as well. Terrell is much more than a shot blocker as well. She does a great job of keeping the ball high and away from the defense to score at the rim and she is a really good passer as well. She is also her team’s leading rebounder, averaging 8.6 RPG. I love the way Terrell contributes in so many different ways and she’s definitely showing that in the start of this season.

Braylin climes from 55th to 38th in this update and could keep climbing even higher with a good Junior campaign. An “old school” post player, Terrell only attempted two threes as a Sophomore. If she can add that aspect to her game, watch out!

Terrell is long, skilled and poised with her back to the basket. She can face-up or play as a distributor from the High Post, or mid-Post. She is a good rebounder, rim protector and shot blocker. She is developing into an excellent player that will be a great contributor for the next three years. rnShe shot less than three times per game last season making 49.3% of those shots. To me that translates into getting her more touches in hopes her percentages stay the same or improve.
