2026
Kennedy Simpson (Yes Prep) Houston Lady Nets 2024
Simpson sent me a message on opening day, not subliminally nor telepathically, it was a DIRECT message on what she brings to the table and the eerie part is that with her upside, her ceiling has no roof before it’s set. She’s long and athletic, scores off the dribble, and plays the passing lane yet she also finishes strongly after contact and has a very nice pull-up jumper which she can drop mid to long-range
Averie Steele (Spillane MS) Just Play Elite 15U Gold
Steele just keeps elevating, off the ground as well as her game and as she continues to become more polished, the shine just keeps blinding my eyes because I love progression and after knowing she was really good the first time I saw her, that wasn’t GOOD enough for her as she using the hands and footwork combination to finish around the basket, with either hand, and after contact
Draden Moss Draden Moss 6'0" | SG Houston Memorial | 2026 State TX (Spring Branch MS) Just Play Elite 15U Gold
Moss wouldn’t surprise me at all to set records in high school but peep this, I don’t even take notes on paper anymore because when you can shoot the ball as she can, it will be forever embedded in my memory. Her ability to not only create her shot under pressure but get it off with a flick of the wrist has always impressed me yet her range is even deeper and what I really love is her dropping it coming off of a screen or just the “catch and shoot” for fun
Brittney Anderson (Legacy) Just Play Elite 15U Gold
Anderson is explosive off the dribble but I’m talking with either foot, with either hand, hope you caught that, and speaking of that, her court vision and blazing passes give her countless options because she can drive and dish or score acrobatically off the dribble yet she also can drop the mid to long-range as well as play the passing lane. I’m also digging her “on the ball” defense as she can go baseline to baseline with ease
2027
Ebonie Chatman (Lady Diamonds 15U)
Chatman came a long way to overly impress me again and after her Next Up 50 performance last season, my Individual Showcase, I mentioned: “I love her upside” yet not only is she a #BCSLock yet her upside is very scary because she’s poised, smooth as silk and understands how and when to take the game over yet her unselfishness and ability to get he teammates involved just left me smiling as went back to when my own daughter was playing in the highest division in the 7th grade. Chatman creates her shot so well and drops it from, well everywhere so watch what I’m saying, it’s definitely coming
