Rubel announced her decision via social media yesterday after a 2021-22 campaign where she helped Notre Dame reach the state quarterfinals for the fourth-straight season. This winter, Tori averaged 8.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.3 deflections per game.
On the court, Tori is a proven game changer who stuffs the stat sheet. Top-notch, three-level scorer with one of the smoothest shooting strokes in the Midwest. Catches serious fire from beyond the arc and pulls up off the dribble from anywhere on the court with ease. Overwhelms defenders when driving to the basket due to her size and speed. Is going to be even more of a deep threat at the next level with her coast-to-coast ability. Fields a lethal crossover dribble and smooth floater.
Makes head-turning passes and can push the ball with the best of them. Cleans the glass effortlessly due to her length, athleticism and body control. One of the best defenders in Missouri thanks to her physical traits and ability to smoother ball handlers. Always gets a hand on the ball for multiple deflections and disrupts play after play. Extremely high basketball IQ and incredible court vision. Serious pro potential.
Rubel will be joining her older sister Alexa Rubel Alexa Rubel 6'0" | CG Cape Notre Dame | 2022 State MO as a Skyhawk. Lexi signed with UT Martin prior to this winter season back in November. Lexi earned all-state honors for the third time after posting 15.9 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 3.3 steals each contest.
On top of winning a fourth-consecutive Class 5 District 1 and SEMO Conference Tournament Championship, Notre Dame won its first conference regular-season title since 2010 to sweep the SEMO Conference. The Bulldogs also won their third-straight First State Community Bank Holiday Classic Championship with Tori in the starting lineup. She was rightfully named to the 10-player FSCB Holiday Classic All-Tournament Team for the second-straight season.
