Prep Girls Hoops Michigan recently updated their class of 2023 prospect rankings. There were many additions to the list with now over 230 players ranked. Let’s look at some of the new additions.
[player_tooltip player_id="416063" first="Brooke" last="Craven"] (SF, Whitmore Lake)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #222
Craven became a high impact player this season. She was named the MIAC Red MVP and All Conference 1st Team. Craven was a go to scorer for Whitmore Lake and rebounded strongly off the wing.
[player_tooltip player_id="336002" first="Meghan" last="Keen"] (PF, Gaylord)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #213
Keen was an extremely high impact player. It often seemed that how Keen’s game went, her Gaylord team followed. She showed a versatile offensive game by scoring as a cutter, from beyond the arc, and with her back to the basket flipping the ball over her left shoulder.
[player_tooltip player_id="415923" first="Desrae" last="Kyles"] (PF, Benton Harbor)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #29
Kyles was an absolute stat sheet stuffer this season. It felt like she could post a triple double on any given night. Kyles uses a tough combination of strength and athleticism to dominate opposing post players.
[player_tooltip player_id="415931" first="Savannah" last="Miller"] (SG, Kent City)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #209
Miller is extremely underrated in my opinion. I like her jumper and she has shown definite 3 point range on it. She does a terrific job playing off some high level teammates, but I think it’s just a matter of time before we see her start to put up some big numbers.
[player_tooltip player_id="336019" first="Maggie" last="Napont"] (PG, Traverse City St. Francis)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #208
Napont showed a really nice skill set this season. She showed that she understood how to play off a screen and she did it well. Napont showed solid court vision and the ability to deliver the ball to a cutter.
[player_tooltip player_id="416066" first="Rachel" last="Resio"] (PG, Swan Valley)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #79
Resio is coming off an MVP type season, leading her Swan Valley squad on a memorable state playoff run. She really turned head throughout the playoffs with her excellent all around game. Resio is definitely a player to watch next season.
[player_tooltip player_id="415937" first="MaKennah" last="Uotila"] (PF, Ontonagon)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #191
Uotila should be recognized as a solid all around athlete. She plays a nicer vertical game defensively, allowing her to help protect the rim. Uotila gets off the ground quickly and rebounds the ball high.
