Showdown in the Music City!

<span style="font-weight: 400;">The Music City Showdown was a throw down @ the TOA Center. Teams from the southeast came into town looking to sharpen their skills, competing against tough competition. It was a perfect venue, a perfect weekend, all to take in some bball. The girls from Tennessee came out with a mission, playing some good quality teams. A lot of games were back and forth, possession by possession, each team doing their best to not give an inch. The environment was awesome, with fans hanging onto every second of every game.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">The talent on the circuit was at a premium, with girls who were about this basketball life, start to rise to the top. Each team at the competition brought something unique to the table. EAB and Team Ambition played with grit. The Stars played with skill. The Sol put on a show. Team FIE Elite played with passion. RTG and Music City Jammers played as a team. Up and down the different age divisions, one could enjoy the mastery of basketball being displayed on the harwood. </span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Throughout the tournament, here are some young ladies who are on the rise from their tournament performance this past weekend.</span> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="285347" first="Sophie" last="Singleton"] (6’1/PF/Jr./Huntingdon/ TN Sol)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Solid post player that has great court awareness. Can get up and down the floor. Plays well with her back to the basket w/ great finishes. Was a defensive anchor, blocking shots and grabbing boards. Great size and length that can create chaos.</span> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="290971" first="Natalie" last="Kaye"] (5’8/CG/SO/Grace Christian Academy/ Stars Basketball Club)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Solid kid who can get to the rim. Possesses a three point threat, has gained confidence this travel ball season and is really hooping it up. Has a great basketball IQ that enables her to find her open teammates, slash through games, and knock down shots consistently. Great kid who is hungry about the game.</span> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="421980" first="Atiya" last="Moss"] (5’8/CG/Jr./ Clarksville Academy/ TN Sol)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Shifty guard who can play inside and out. Can pull up from 3 in transition, knock down the 15 footer, and take advantage of mismatches down low. Great distributor who knows how to space the floor to create opportunities. Fierce on the defensive end, she’s always trying to win every single bout. Whenever you see this young lady, if her sneakers are laced up, be prepared for a dog fight.</span> <b>Savannah Kirby (5’7/G/Jr./Green Hill/ Music City Jammers)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- 3 point threat who can knock them down in bunches. Possess a great court presence, where she seems to be in the right spot at the right time. Does the little things right, providing her teammates a spark on either end of the court. Can score the rock, but can also play relentlessly on the defensive end. Talented and hungry kid.</span> <b>Christianna Groves (6’1/G/Fr./ Pearl-Cohn/ Team Elite FIE)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- She’s growing, both in stature and her game. This guard can attack the rim with locomotive speed. She can score the rock from multiple levels, has a great court awareness to dish it, and most importantly, she’s gonna lock you up no matter if its down low for in the back court. Plays the game with intense energy, she makes those around her better. Possesses great leadership, will continue to get better. Keep an eye out for this kid!</span> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="285387" first="Emaleigh" last="Tarpley"] (5’11/F/Jr./Rockvale/ EAB Tennessee)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Energetic forward who can play inside and out. Possesses a smooth form that she unleashes from the arc. Has a quick first step that allows her to attack down hill. Selfless player, gives up her body on the defensive end to take charges. A leader amongst others, this young lady is all about team and getting others involved. Had a great outing where she not only scored, but was communicating with others on both ends of the floor. High ceiling kid with a lot of potential.</span> <b>Anu Richards (5’9/F/So./ Station Camp/ Music City Jammers)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- High energy kid who is always looking to attack. Has a quick first step down hill. Can score it from beyond the arc. Instinctive, jumping passing lanes and grabbing rebounds. Unselfish player who hustles every moment on the floor. An unfinished product, has so much potential to be an awesome player on the basketball floor. Great kid who is hungry for the game.</span> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="290956" first="Annabelle" last="Singleton"] (5’7/G./So./Huntingdon/ TN Sol)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Heady player who is tough on both ends of the floor. Can get into the lane and pull up or dial it from deep. Fierce defensive player who gets hands on the ball. Keeps girls in front of her, while also being able to double down in the post or trap. Great kid who can score the ball and make timely assists. Plays the game with a lot of grit and relentless energy. Talented sophomore who will take big strides over the next coming months.</span> &nbsp;
