Jakiah shot efficiently from 3-point range off the catch and the dribble, but also beat defenders off the dribble to finish shots at the rim. Her relentless effort, communication, control handling the ball, and defensive presence also set her apart. Jakiah displayed a college-level understanding of ball movement, tempo, and making passes to open teammates. She earned All-Showcase First Team Honors and my pick for Most Valuable Prospect. I am very excited to see where she decides to play at the college level.

Brumfield did a lot of things very well at The Expo and shooting has to be included in that. She’s an athletic shooter that looked comfortable off the dribble and the catch.

Brumfield was just dangerous with the ball. She was a sneaky ball handler that created space and was able to touch the paint off the bounce. I’m a huge fan of the inside-out dribble and Brumfield used it with perfection.

Jakiah had high expectations coming into the event and she proved herself to be an elite lead guard on the court today at The Expo for Team 3. Jakiah threaded dimes to teammates, and displayed toughness on defense, shifty ball-handling, efficiency finishing difficult shots at the rim, and deadly 3-point accuracy.

Brumfield is a high-IQ player, and I’m not sure we have talked enough about her passing skills. She has next-level passing abilities and would make any college team better with those skills. I watched her connect on many shots behind the arc every weekend. Coaches need to take notice of this guard in July.

Brumfield is a player that I’m VERY excited about. She’s playing with the Michigan Premier 2025 P24 team. I thought that she was tremendous this past high school season and I think she’s must see this spring and summer. Brumfield is the kind of player that leaves it all on the line and wins hustle points for her team. She plays with a controlled athleticism that allows her to be a factor in the half court as well as the open floor.
