Janiya Johnson Janiya Johnson 5'8" | SG DME Academy | 2023 State FL | DME | 2023
Janiya did a good job of shooting the ball all weekend. She was hitting a high percentage of her shots from 15 feet and out. Her jumper has good elevation and her ball has solid rotation on it. I really like how smooth her game is, her vision to see the entire floor, and how she uses to length to get in the passing lanes on defense.
Geriya Grady Geriya Grady 5'4" | PG Boca Ciega | 2023 State FL | Grindhouse Elite Club | 2023
Geriya is an absolute workhorse on the court. She doesn’t take breaks as one of the highest motor players on the floor at all times. Her mid-range jumper was filthy this weekend as she has some nice dribble combinations that could get her an open look from 15 feet. She takes care of the ball, pushes it to her open teammates in transition, and is going to get in the ball handler’s face on the defensive end.
Xaniya Jackson Xaniya Jackson 6'1" | PF Andrew Jackson | 2023 State FL | Lady OTOD Pink | 2023
Xaniya was one of the best true post players all weekend. She has good hands, a soft touch, and uses her body to get position down low. I rarely saw her get taken out of the game as she’s really the motor that makes her team go. She rebounds it well on both ends and blocks shots, too. College coaches need to have this gem on their radar.
Nia Blocton Nia Blocton 6'0" | PF Ridgeview | 2024 State FL | MHD Elite | 2024
Nia is a really hard player to defend with her size and her strength. She can finish with both hands, her catch radius is huge, and she takes care of the rock. There were a lot of possessions where she brought the ball up the floor on the break and either found her open teammate or took it all the way to the hoop by positioning herself right to protect her dribble.
Amari Jackson Amari Jackson 6'2" | PF The Rock | 2022 State FL | DME | 2022
Amari is another post player that showed out in Daytona. She has good size, length, and gets up and down the floor well. Her game is unselfish, but she can own the game from 10 feet and in with her ability to finish and control the boards. She’s an athletic big that is still unsigned and may play post-grad at DME if the right offer doesn’t come.
The Triumph Region of the PGH Circuit will head to Council Bluffs for PGH Live next weekend to join every region as part of the Live Evaluation Period.
