PGH Triumph Region Finals Top Post Players

The Prep Girls Hoops Triumph Region Finals bought some of the most skilled basketball players in the country under one roof. Rosters were loaded top to bottom with talent. Every team needs exceptional guard play but sometimes it takes the girls that are willing to grind in the paint. Here are the post players that stood out to me over the weekend. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="331750" first="Karimah" last="Nix"] </strong>I 6’0 I SF I 2022 I Grindhouse Elite Club 2023 Unsigned Senior [player_tooltip player_id="331750" first="Karimah" last="Nix"] is a force inside as she can play with her back to the basket or step out on the wing. Has the skills of a guard and the size of a post which makes it hard to figure out who is going to guard her. Always finding great position inside the paint to score. A player that averaged more than 15 points and 10 plus rebounds over the weekend. She drew a lot of double teams but still had the strength and IQ to get her shot off. I had the chance to watch her play in a few games over the weekend. She is player that wants the basketball down the stretch. Always willing to sacrifice her body to get to the rebounds. Knows how to finish at the rim as well. Has the ability to step out short corner if need be. She uses the drop step on the block to pin her opponents which make for some easy touches at the rim. Strong build which allows her to absorb the contact and finish. Has the ability to hit the short jump shot when opponents take away her positioning on the block. Runs the floor well in transition and is always working to get position inside. Soft touch around the rim. A player that battles hard for the 50/50 balls. Always looking for ways to create extra possessions for her team. She has the ability to score at the rim and can rebound with the best of them. Has a nice drop step layup from the block. Her strong build allows her to wear down her opponents and get some easy baskets at the rim. A player the creates a lot of attention inside which allows for her teammates to play one on one on the wing. Has the ability to step out and shoot the 3 ball consistently. Runs well in transition. &nbsp;
