Sunday was Championship Sunday at the PGH Victory Region in North Aurora, Illinois, and following a challenging day on Saturday, the top seeds in each 17U pool advanced to the Gold Bracket, featuring the top teams in the event.
I was able to attend every Gold bracket matchup and have put together an all-tournament team based just on Gold teams on Sunday. First up, a look at my 2nd-Team all-Gold Bracket. Again these selections are only players who played in the GOLD BRACKET on Sunday.

She was a hard-nosed guard with a lot of different weapons to beat you. Not only did she have good court vision and was able to distribute the ball, she was also deadly from behind the arc. Deep range and consistent from the outside. Moves well without the ball, also can put the ball on the floor and penetrate. Defensively, Logan (featured photo above) was a solid on-ball defender and can fight through screens on the defensive side of the ball. Good blue collar player.

I did see her on Saturday as well which qualified her for both al-tournament teams last weekend. Ashley really displays a lot of good calm demeanor with the ball and ran the offense well. She has good handles, can control the offense and pace of the game. Excellent court vision and can hurt you both inside and out.

Really impressed with her game, she is very talented on both sides of the ball. The thing I liked the most about her was her versatility and ability to create opportunities for her team. Outstanding shooter and has good mobility. Long and athletic with a spring in her step. Reagan (pictured left) is a good defender, can guard multiple positions.

Impressed with her length and athletic ability to disrupt the passing lanes, deflect or alter passes with her wingspan. Able to rebound and score on offensive rebound attempts. Good on the glass and has a soft touch to the rim. She has solid footwork and has a good sense for the game.

She is a strong physical guard with the mentality to get to the rim and score. She is a good finisher in the paint and is not afraid of contact. Can play through that. From the point guard spot, she has the handles to be able to effectively run the offense, plays with a high intensity. (pictured left)
