Ahnay Adams Ahnay Adams 5'6" | PG Tilton | 2024 State New E ‘24 | 5’6” | PG
Adams never fails to prove why she is the number two player in New England. I have now watched Adams play quite a few times and can say with confidence she is definitely one of the most consistent players playing AAU right now. Every game she penetrates the defense and controls the game playing with absolute confidence in herself and her teammates. In Atlantic City, a new aspect of her game came out. Having to play against some more aggressive teams, she needed to be a huge presence on defense, and she did not let her team down. She is very quick on her feet, using her speed to her advantage. Adams was able to stay active and was always looking to trap the ball.
Abigail Wright Abigail Wright 6'2" | SF Newton North | 2023 State New E ’23 | 6’0″ | SG
Wright is a very dominant player I always love watching as she plays with purpose and meaning every game. Wright wants to get every rebound and will do whatever it takes. She is the first to box out, the best at boxing out and what makes her stand out is that she boxes out the right way. She really puts a body on a girl every time the ball goes up, she makes it impossible for them to get the ball because she puts herself in the best position.
Yirsy Queliz Yirsy Queliz 5'5" | PG St Mary's | 2023 New E ’23 | 5’5″ | PG
Queliz’s shooting along with her quick moves and accurate reads certainly made her stand out at the tournament. She loves to pull the hesitation move against her defenders as a faster guard that stays low, keeps the ball low and is always looking up. Queliz was also able to knock down tough shots from anywhere on the court. She sure is a team player and played a huge role in MCW’s success.
Selina Monestime Selina Monestime 5'11" | SG Framingham | 2023 State New E ’23 | 5’11″ | SG
Monestime is one of my favorite types of players to watch. As she never fails to play with nothing but heart, grit, energy and speed. I vividly remember watching her play in one game at the Atlantic City Showcase where she was just getting beat up left and right (basketball is a pretty physical sport). She is on the floor diving for loose balls, going to the basket strong, shoulder down head up not shying away from contact. But no matter how much contact she encounters during a game she will never stop fighting and you will never hear her complain.
Angelina Coletti Angelina Coletti 6'0" | PF Archbishop Williams | 2023 State New E ’23 | 6’0″ | PG
Coletti had a very strong defensive presence throughout every game. She used her length and IQ to shut her opponents down. Coletti is an energetic player, always involved in the game, ready to play hard! I like how attentive she looks when she plays, how well she pays attention to details. She works hard on both ends of the floor making herself a very reliable teammate her team loves playing with!
