Class of 2025 Rankings: Stock Risers Inside the Top 60 By Michael Wholey 6/17/22 1:00 PM EST We released an updated rankings for the class of 2025 last month. Today we look at the 2025 stock risers inside the top 60! [player_tooltip player_id="248594" first="Laney" last="Dodd"] (Calvary Christian Academy / Essence) – 5'7 Guard New Ranking: 47 Previous Ranking: 78 Lefty athletic guard that can knock down the open 3. She had a solid season for Calvary Christian Academy (Ormond Beach), playing significant minutes as a freshman and helping them to a 21-3 record. Active on the defensive end, Dodd uses her athleticism to pressure the ball, get into passing lanes and turn defense into offense. Dodd moves up 30 spots to # 47. [player_tooltip player_id="346885" first="Mikayla" last="Paschal"] (Largo HS / Tampa Thunder) – 5'10 Forward New Ranking: 49 Previous Ranking: 52 Paschal has continued to move up the rankings and has been one of the Tampa Thunder 2025 squad top performers this spring / summer. She is an active front court player who plays hard, is persistent on the offensive and defensive boards, and uses the combination of her length, strength, and athleticism well! [player_tooltip player_id="419934" first="Abby" last="Price"] (Westminster Academy / Team Knight) - 5'10 Guard New Ranking: 50 Previous Ranking: Price is a versatile guard / wing who comes in at # 50 in the updated class of 2025 rankings. She has great size for a perimeter player, knocks down open shots at a high percentage, and uses her high IQ to find the open player and make the extra pass. She plays hard and with a lot of energy on both ends of the floor and rebounds well from the perimeter position. [player_tooltip player_id="295788" first="Shay" last="Farley"] (Sarasota / Always 100 2025 FL Elite) – 5'10 Wing New Ranking: 51 Previous Ranking: 61 Farley was a newcomer in the last rankings having moved from Indiana. She moves up 10 spots in the most recent update of the rankings after a solid season for Sarasota HS and several impressive performances this spring/summer with the newly formed Always 100 Elite 2025 Florida. We highlighted Shay in March in Scouting Report: Always 100 Elite FL 2025 making note of her impressive length, ability to play inside and out, strong build, aggressive play, and selfless attitude sharing the ball and brining positive energy to her team. The combination of her size and skill is rare in Florida and will make her a prospect college coaches will continue to keep their eye on. [player_tooltip player_id="404442" first="Sofiah" last="Miller"] (Windermere Prep / Always 100 2025 Elite) - 6'1 Forward New Ranking: 52 Previous Ranking: 62 Miller moves up 10 spots a well after averaging double digits for Windermere Prep as a Freshman (11.9 points per game) as well as double digit rebounds (12.1 rebounds per game). At 6'1 she plays physical in the paint and is not afraid to mix it up with opposing teams front court players. She has a strong solid build, is a good rebounder, pursues loose balls, and finishes well in the paint. You can check out some of her highlights from the Beast of the East last month here. https://youtu.be/7mD8ZEAsivI [player_tooltip player_id="248693" first="Riley" last="Stoker"] (Western HS / GT Queens) – 6'0 Guard New Ranking: 54 Previous Ranking: 124 Stoker makes a big jump, moving up 70 spots to # 54 in the class of 2025 updated rankings! We got a chance to see Stoker play several times this year both with Western HS and GT Queens where she displayed her long, athletic frame and ability to knock down 3s at a high percentage. She was particularly impressive at the Tampa Bay Invitational, facing high level of competition both from in state and out state, Stoker stood out with impressive outside shooting, a long/athletic frame that she had 2-6 inches on most players she was going up against, and versatility to play multiple positions on the offensive and defensive end. [player_tooltip player_id="219956" first="Jaeden" last="Williams"] (Winter Haven HS / Compound Basketball) – 5'10 Wing New Ranking: 55 Previous Ranking: 140 I have been a Williams fan for several years. She had a solid Freshman campaign for Winter Haven HS, displaying her ability to both play on the perimeter and in the paint. At 5'10, she can go inside or out depending on matchups and whether her team is playing small ball or not. She has ability to put the ball to the floor from the wing, the high post, as well grab a defensive rebound and start the break. She has a good court presence, gives consistent effort and energy and has a great presence on the defensive end using her length and athleticism well to be impactful on the defensive end. She has a high upside and a ton of potential and is one of the class of 2025 biggest stock risers moving up over 80 spots to # 55 overall. About Class of 2025 Rankings This is the first update of the 2025 rankings in 2022. We have taken a look at players performance and potential with both their High School and Travel teams. If there is a player that not included in the rankings or you feel is not ranked properly, please email us at WholeyPrepHoops@gmail.com and include Name, Height, Position, HS, Travel team, any stats available and any video available. Our goal is to cover the entire state, but we are well aware that we have not seen everyone in the state and those that we have seen, we have not seen all of them equally the same amount of time and games. About Our Rankings Prep Girls Hoops prospect rankings have been compiled by our staff with input from high school, club and college coaches from across the state. Players are ranked on their status as a college prospect. We aim to expand and update our prospects rankings 2-4 times per year to continue to maintain the most comprehensive, accurate prospect rankings in the country. Michael Wholey is Prep Girls Hoops Florida Senior Scout and oversees the Florida rankings along with other contributing members and writers for @PGHFlorida. You can email Michael Wholey at WholeyPrepHoops@gmail.com or DM him on Twitter or Instagram @WholeyPrepHoops.
