Just thinking about what’s coming up next month and who is HOT so let me start with players I have seen an abundance of. All are Class of 2023 unless noted
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="204186" first="Avari" last="Berry"] (Austin Elite RFW) <span style="font-size: 1rem;">@avvarriii</span></strong>
Berry has been both ripe and sweet all club season as she has found ways to help lead her team to victory but the mentality she has of "putting her squad on her back" down the stretch is second none. Speaking of stretch, her NBA range definitely stretches the defense yet her ball-handling and dazzling passes, including the NO-LOOK, have been more than a thrill but she controls the tempo and gets everyone involved, July ready is an understatement
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="134041" first="Riley" last="McCloskey"] (Just Play Elite 17U Gold) <span style="font-size: 1rem;">@RileyMcCloskey3</span></strong>
McCloskey has been on a roll all season and her role is to make those around her better, which she has done. Her ability to control the tempo is one of the best in the area, she throws blazing on the money passes from 25 feet, with either hand but on top of her court vision, she can drain the mid to long-range with ease as well as attack and finish strongly, after contact
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="96161" first="Aniyah" last="Sanford"] (Houston United 832) @Aniyah2023</strong>
Sanford continues to elevate her game, I say that every year because every year she has and progression is key which fits because she unlocks so many doors on the court by being vocal, directing traffic, and handling the ball under pressure. She’s poised, sets her teammates up nicely for easy baskets, and scores off the dribble as well as from the outside

<strong>Eryn Lloyd (Houston United Bobby) <span style="font-size: 1rem;">@e_lloyd05</span></strong>
Lloyd has also taken her game to another level, yeah she was "poised under pressure" running her team and also one of the best defensive guards in the area but that midrange pull-up jumper in transition had me smiling as she does that as well as score off the dribble with either hand. Her court vision has also been solid
<strong>Ashton Reynolds (SETX Elite)</strong>
Reynolds is about to wrap up an impressive summer, pun intended, and after what I just witnessed last weekend, she is ready for whatever. Her pull-up jumper, mid to long-range is consistent, and so are her passes as she forces nothing but she steadily gets her teammates in position by directing traffic and in the clutch, she’s more than ready
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="270659" first="Olivia" last="Sauvageau"] (Just Play Elite 16U Gold) 2024 <span style="font-size: 1rem;">@LivySbasketball</span></strong>
Sauvageau has been on a tear in each of the 5 events I’ve caught her playing in. She scores in the flow, she runs the offense to a tee, and she sees the floor like using a microscope but don’t get it twisted because she can simply take over offensively. Her off-balance finishes and ability to create contact make her an "and one" waiting to happen yet that mid to long-range is very nice
<div class="css-1dbjc4n r-1awozwy r-z2wwpe r-6koalj r-1q142lx r-1bymd8e"></div>
Here are some players I haven’t seen in person this season but I’ve been watching them virtually
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="204185" first="Keely" last="Cummings"] (Houston Skyrise) <span style="font-size: 1rem;">@keelycummings11</span></strong>
Cummings has been a favorite since she was in the 3rd grade dribbling the ball between her legs I asked her "can you play" and her response was "come see" and I haven’t stopped looking yet as she has become of the most consistent clutch players in the area. She can drain the 3, after contact so 4 point opportunities galore have been witnessed by me yet I’ve witnessed her understand how to control the tempo and make those around her better, yes she sees the floor very well
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="204176" first="Aliyah" last="Carter"] (Hoop Shop) <span style="font-size: 1rem;">@AliyahCarter23</span></strong>
Carter has been getting plenty of buzz and picking up offers but that’s no surprise because she has SWB, speed with the ball, is under control, and is one of the best defensive guards in Texas but she also is explosive off the dribble and scores with either hand attacking the rim. The mid to long-range, the court vision and her "never taking a play off" mindset are all pluses

<div class="css-1dbjc4n">
<div class="css-901oao css-bfa6kz r-14j79pv r-18u37iz r-37j5jr r-a023e6 r-16dba41 r-rjixqe r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0" dir="ltr"><span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="96143" first="Molly" last="Ly"] (Cy Fair Elite 17U National)</strong> <strong>@mollymariely</strong></span></div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr">Ly helped lead her Cedar Park HS team to back-to-back state championships yet she’s also leading whatever team she plays on because "the game starts at the 1" and I have always enjoyed her acrobatic finishes as she defies gravity but her blistering passes to teammates in transition speak volumes about her court vision, yeah she also scores mid to long-range</div>

<div class="css-1dbjc4n r-1awozwy r-z2wwpe r-6koalj r-1q142lx r-1bymd8e"></div>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="206969" first="Ashna" last="Tambe"] (Team Lex 16U 3SSB) 2024</strong> <strong>@AshnaTambe</strong>
Tambe has had yet another breakout season and has been picking up offers this season yet I offer you this, she is one of the most underrated PGs in Texas 2024, she can score multiple ways, off the dribble, mid to long-range as well as set teammates up for easy baskets, yet she also understands the game, plays within herself and doesn’t force anything, except turnover because she defends
