When I cover an event, I try to get as much in as possible, and having rosters is the icing on the cake. I stayed at the Mansfield Fieldhouse all tournament because if teams weren't playing there initially, I'd catch them on the rebound so I'm breaking the opening day into 4 sessions and one more time "talent is everywhere"
Alexia Rogers-5'10 C (Platinum ETX National Robertson) 2023
Rogers uses her body well around the basket, finished strongly after contact, and did a good job rebounding on both ends. She also did a good job running the floor and her defense, inside and outside the paint was solid. She added a little something extra by attacking the basket from the wing
Eryn Lloyd-5'2 PG ([program_tooltip program_id='715346' first='Houston' last='United'] Bobby) 2023
Lloyd continues to show what a good job she does "on the ball" defensively. She pressures the offensive player baseline to baseline, and she understands how to play the passing lane correctly yet her offensive game continues to evolve as she drops the mid to long range consistently
[player_tooltip player_id="388153" first="Jada" last="Graves"]-5'4 PG (GT4L) 2024
Graves has such good court vision that all you have to do is run the floor with her and she can get you the ball. That same court vision works in the set but her scoring off the dribble is nice, she also dishes off the dribble, and she can drop the jumper but her on-the-ball defense and playing the passing lane gets two thumbs up
[player_tooltip player_id='509680' first='Micah' last='Walton']-5'5 PG ([program_tooltip program_id='712952' first='Texas' last='Elite'] Austin Future 16U) 2024
Walton had me thinking Bill and John Boy because her jumper is picture perfect. I loved watching her elevate and release as well as drop it with a hand in her face and to be honest, she had one of the best jumpers I saw all tournament. She also scored off the dribble, nice body control yet her UPS JUST DID IT for me as she showed out
Danielle Oyewole-5'11 PF/C ([program_tooltip program_id='713185' first='Texas' last='Cagers Select'] Grey) 2024
Oyewole is nowhere near the finished product which is scary because she has the size and a college-ready frame yet what I enjoyed, even more, was her being coachable and absorbing everything being given to her from the sideline. Her hands and footwork are nice, she also rebounded on both ends and defended well inside the paint
[player_tooltip player_id='307762' first='Sadie' last='Sanchez']-5'5 PG ([program_tooltip program_id='712536' first='Hoop' last='10']) 2025
Sanchez is a highlight waiting to happen and watching her variety of moves including her shaking the defender, showing the HEZ, or using her deceptive first step to get to the basket, she's hard to handle, and what makes everything harder is her unlimited range but factor in the step back and all I can say is WOW
Micah Lovelace-5'9 SF ([program_tooltip program_id='715726' first='[program_tooltip program_id='715726' first='WBA' last='']' last=''] 16U) 2025
Lovelace is "long and athletic" and I call that "the base" because it's one of the profiles I use but more importantly, many college coaches use it too and they give scholarships. She scored off the dribble, finished after contact, and played the passing lane. She handled the ball in the open court and did a good job defending
Raegan Lee-5'9 PF (WTX Premier 15U National) 2025
Lee did so many things I like to see but her timing to block, alter, and (or) deflect shots was really nice. She scored off the dribble and finished strongly but she also rebounded with authority, on both ends, and on the offensive end, she showed she could score on putbacks after contact
Kaelie Massenburg-6'2 PF ([program_tooltip program_id='712952' first='Texas' last='Elite'] Ultraboost)
Massenburg has size, 74 inches, but watching her BATTLE for everything off the rim gets her the #THRO[program_tooltip program_id='715726' first='[program_tooltip program_id='715726' first='WBA' last='']' last='']CK hashtag. She runs the floor, she throws the outlet, she understands when to switch and she did a good job scoring around the basket. I also like her scoring off putbacks, nice upside
