Here are some more players who shined this week! <strong>Halena Hill 5’7 SG 2023 WPA Bruins</strong> Listed as a shooting guard but she does have legitimate combo guard skills and ability. When the ball is in Halena’s hands she knows how to survey the defense to make a move. Equally effective off the screen with the pull-up or the jumper! A good and consistent shooter that can D-up as well! <strong>Ava Leroux 6’4 Post 2023 Slaam 17U</strong> Athletic big that can play the 4 or the 5 spot. Great rim protector, it’s was a couple of times she got some good chase behind blocks. Ava is not scared to put the ball on the floor to get to the basket. Strong finisher at the rim and can score through traffic. Equally dangerous with her back to the basket and in the screen and roll! <strong>Kendyl Smith 5’8 PG 2026 Michigan Storm UAA</strong> A floor general that controls the pace of the game from the jump ball! Good size and frame for a young point guard that does a great job of setting her teammates up in the flow of the offense. Always triple threat ready and can knock down the three-point shot! More quick than fast and knows how to use her body in traffic smart crafty player! <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="95226" first="Jade" last="Weathersby"] PF/SF FBC Supreme Team 17 UAA</strong> Very athletic and still raw with her overall skills. It looks like her game is still growing. Primarily played the power forward but she flashes in her play with wing ability. An active player that contributes in all facets of the game on both ends of the floor! <strong>Nasi Simmons SG 5’9 Lady Rivals 3SSB</strong> A great athlete that is fast and quick! She puts pressure on the defenders in transition on offense. She’s very active in the offensive half-court sets, it looks like sprinting to get open in the half-court game! Nasi understands how to keep the defense off balance with her moves. A great on-ball and perimeter defender that can hit the defensive glass with ease! <strong>Celena Grant 5’8 2026 SG FBC United 15U</strong> Big guard! Not in height but with her frame! Plays very physical and can overpower you with her size and strength on the perimeter. Celena scores at a high level with an elite change of speed play. So aggressive and can handle contact going to the rim. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="300303" first="Erin" last="Edmonds"] 5’9 CG FBC CE Havoc 15U Rise</strong> Her team got off to a slow start but she came out the gate with an 18-point game! Long guard with good size and does a good job of turning speed into power on the open floor. At the next level looks like she will be more of a shooting guard because of her three-point shooting that extends to the volleyball line! <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="253968" first="Chazadi" last="Wright"] 5’4 PG FBC Supreme Team 17U UAA</strong> One of m favorite point guards that I have seen this week! Small in size and frame but is an elite basketball player! Quick first step makes her hard to guard in the screen and roll. She has elite one-on-one hesitation moves to the basket. She can attract defenders on her dribble drive to the basket for an assist!
