Notes From Lakeland University’s Prospect Camp

Today, I want to thank the Lakeland University Women's basketball coaching staff for allowing me to sit in on their prospect camp this morning in Sheboygan. I saw a handful of talented kids in the gym in the middle of August, and I want to talk about a few that stood out.

The 2025 guard looked like the best ball handler in the gym by a wide margin. She had a ton of control with the ball in her hands and controlled everything in live competition. I liked her creativity around the basket and her composure in shooting drills. She was probably the best player in the gym today.
Nadia Hoffa
I was surprised by how well Hoffa shot the ball, especially her mid-range jumper. I knew she did little things for Westfield's back-to-back state tournament appearances, but she was much more skilled than I anticipated. She may not get a lot of shots, but her offense will play at a small school at the next level.

The Grafton guard did what she's accustomed to this summer, knock down shots and move her feet defensively. She'll be an easy plug and play as a 3&D player once she gets the speed of the college game down, but she's a steady kid who understands what the right play is at every moment.

. I thought she moved well, and her jumper looked excellent. When she spots up, King's jumper looks solid, repeatable, and successful. The Whitnall guard also passed well, which is something I was never sure she had. She looked like one of the best players in the gym, and I expect her to have a few options on where to continue her academic and playing career.

The Hortonville guard was solid all day long. She was usually one of the more noticeable players in every drill and found herself on the winning side of most competitive drills. She may be a 2024 prospect, but she is already one of the most well-rounded kids that small schools could utilize. Kaskavitch makes winning plays and covers plenty of ground for every one of her teams. I 100% believe the Hortonville native will have multiple choices of where to take the next step of her playing career. The moment she contributes to a talented Hortonville team, that will become extremely obvious.
