About Aryanna
Expert Analysis

One of the most efficient low post scorers in the Senior class, Aryanna has good size and some polished post moves around the rim. While she’s not a consistent threat from three at this point, Gulley has shown that she is not afraid of taking threes so the potential is there to become a stretch forward if she continues to develop that part of the game.

is on a mission in her first travel season with
Tri-State Pride
She played very well at the Clash last weekend and enjoyed going up against other talented forwards from Indiana, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. “Ari” was terrific on offense, she scored well with her back to the basket, while displaying excellent footwork and post moves. She was also on target with her perimeter shooting, and made her presence felt on the boards. In the first game of the tournament she had an impactful performance, finishing with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, was awarded player of the game, and helped her team get the win over Indiana Havoc Elite Silver. Ari followed up that performance with 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists against Indiana Pride Xtreme.

The younger Gulley sister, Aryanna climbs up the rankings from 46th to 32nd after a good high school season and showing potential to be a really good post prospect down the line. She primarily backs up her sister for the Kittens but Aryanna has shown flashes of potential to be a scholarship level player as her game develops.

Aryanna is among the best freshman post players in the state and should provide some insurance for the Kittens as they embark on a potential run to Rupp. The younger Gulley is a dependable 4th or 5th option for Ashland but is capable of going for 15 and 10 on any night out.

Gulley is earning a role for a good Ashland team this season and maximizing her opportunities. Averaging 6 points and 4 rebounds thus far, there is no reason Aryanna shouldn’t be averaging a double-double this time next year. If you are the type who likes to buy imaginary stock in players, pick up a few shares of Gulley as she has a lot of upside and a high ceiling as a player.

Gulley is in line for a much bigger role as a Freshman after being a role player at the varsity level last year. Aryanna could possibly be a starter for the Kittens this season but will certainly be a heavy rotation player. She provides an interior presence and will be able to stay on the court if she becomes a more active rebounder.
