Expert Analysis
Brandon Bradley | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Emma transferred into Morristown early into the 2023-2024 season, and she made an instant impact for the Yellow Jackets, averaging 8.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. She is a solid all-around athlete, she has nice length, wiry strength, and she plays with a motor. Now that she’s comfortable within Morristown’s system, I would expect for her averages to rise as a Senior. She also shoots it consistently from the perimeter, so look for her to also be a pick-and-pop threat. Over the Summer she committed to Marian University Ancilla.

Emma is someone I saw for the first time at a PGH Top-250 Showcase early in her career. She has done a really nice job of consistently improving each year, adding more and more skill, while developing her strength and maintaining a nice, athletic base. She has some touch around the perimeter now, she’s still highly effective in the mid-post, and she plays with a great motor. She pursues rebounds outside of her area, but she also has a quiet toughness and will get physical inside, often battling girls much bigger/stronger than herself.

Emma is another forward who fits this profile well, but she is likely flying a little more under the radar than most of the other girls in this article. She was originally a Greenfield-Central kid, but she transferred to Morristown this season, and she instantly made an impact. She is another really nice athlete who plays with a motor, and she is very good in the mid-post. She is also starting to establish more of a perimeter game.

Emma made her first appearance in front of me at a PGH Top-250 Showcase event a couple of years ago, and she has always been a quiet, highly active, hard-working forward who just battles. She is a nice all-around athlete, a solid rebounder, both inside and outside of her catch radius, and she has some skill and touch in the mid-post. She was originally a Greenfield-Central kid, but she transferred to Morristown this past season and finished strong for the Yellow Jackets. I think she will be an under-the-radar “steal” for some small college, because she always produces.

Emma hasn’t played many Varsity minutes, but 2023-2024 could be that year. She continues to grow and gain strength, and she looks about two inches taller than when I saw her a Summer ago. She is a solid athlete in most directions, and she certainly works hard when she’s in the game. She is more of an interior player who will rebound and defend the paint with effort. If she can continue to work on her skillset facing the basket, especially in the mid-post, then she could be a nice small college prospect.

Emma showed as much productivity as most of the post prospects at the event. She has a fairly strong frame, nice length, and she works extremely hard. She is a little undersized for how she plays, but she also plays bigger than she is. She moves around the floor well, boxes out for rebounds, and pursues caroms outside of her area. Emma also showed some skill in the mid-post, knocking down the occasional 15-footer. I think she can develop into a really nice small college front-liner, but I’d like to see her play against top competition regularly.
