Charlotte recently picked up an offer from Merrimack, giving her two Division I offers, and helped her team open the season with 16 straight wins. As a 5’11 guard, she blends size and skill, handling the ball while also finishing effectively around the basket. She has a smooth pull-up game in the mid-range and can shoot over taller defenders, while also spacing the floor as a reliable three-point shooter. Her effort stands out as she consistently boxes out and hustles for every loose ball.

Charlotte has shown the ability to impact the game in multiple ways this season. Offensively, she is a strong three-point shooter and can drive to the basket by lowering her shoulder and finishing through contact. She fights hard for rebounds, consistently boxing out and hustling to secure possessions. Defensively, Charlotte uses her quick feet and length to stay in front of opponents, taking charges and disrupting passing lanes.

Charlotte uses her height extremely well, especially in the mid-range where she can elevate over defenders with ease. She has a tight handle that allows her to weave into the paint and plays with patience, letting the game come to her rather than forcing shots. On the glass, she is a constant threat, punishing opponents who fail to box her out with second-chance opportunities. She currently holds an offer from UNH.

Charlotte has been heating up lately with performances that include a 22-point game where she scored 17 of the 22 in the first half. She’s had a multitude of double-digit scoring games with a steady number of assists in most of these showings too. Theriault has a very unique game. She’s an incredible creator beneath the 3-point line. The creation is crafted with an extreme amount of downhill force merged with a strong frame that gets the edge on many defenders. What’s most surprising is her effective handle that she carefully uses to get to her scoring areas. Many players guarding her just don’t have the reaction skills to keep up with the lateral movements either. She unquestionably requires the opposing team’s consummate defenders at most times and can’t be allowed to create a rhythm for herself. The ’27 guard has polished moves that constantly require others to step up. Sometimes that’s just not enough though, once Charolotte gets by someone, she’ll quickly get to a nice euro-step, spin or hop-step to get different looks at the rim, all while avoiding those that take on the help position. There’s a fair share of finesse combined with heaps of power in her takes which make her such a demanding cover. Theriault can be an overwhelming talent that exploits the flaws in the defense and forges baskets after inventing emphatic drives that many aren’t adept in.

Charlotte was one of the constant players from the weekend that brought solid 2-way play which led to winning basketball. The Suffield Tigers are a team composed of wide-ranging talent that play cohesively. Charlotte was like the glue that brought it all together. Her tough-nosed takes to the rim made defenders collapse which opened things up for shooters on the perimeter. Theriault finished a couple resilient takes at the rim, despite fighting through heavy contact. One skill of hers that may be overlooked was her tendency to create off the dribble when there seemed to be nothing there. She extended plays that would cause others to reset the offense, something which required defenders to stay vigilant. On the other side of the ball, Charlotte was able to jump passing lanes to get out on the break. She made appropriate gambles which led to easy points. The defensive intensity was turned up when she was on the floor.
