is a prospect that is still available to compete for a program at the collegiate level following this upcoming Winter season Skaggs, a 5’10 CG, can do a number of things as a guard while having better than average size for her position. She can even post up smaller opponents that might try to match her near the bucket as her team runs their offensive system. Not to mention, she can simply just shoot over others that might be smaller. Defensively, with her length she can be matched up with someone her size, smaller, or bigger. It just comes down to the given situation at hand. Williamsburg will have 2/3 college caliber prospects this Winter. If they can be used in the correct ways, they should take things far come Playoff time.

. Skaggs is a lengthy competitor, that can shoot the leather off of the basketball if she gets hot or she can take her defender to the bucket for an easier finish for herself. Defensively, her length helps her stick with smaller, quicker opponents on the perimeter or she has the ability to step into the paint while holding her own as well. In high school ball, she primarily is around the outside as they have a Post presence. All in all, it’ll be interesting to see how far they can take things as a group but I can’t wait to see it first hand over the next six months.

Kennedy Skaggs is a lefty who plays hard 100% of the time. At the showcase, she communicated effectively with her teammates on both sides of the floor. She was vocal when she was open, made great cuts to the basket, and took good shots. When she shoots the ball, it’s hard for the defense to contest because of how quick her release is. Kennedy forced the defense to close out quicker than they wanted which opened up the driving lanes. She drove to the basket and made good decisions with the ball. I like that she knew when to drive and kick and when to drive and look to score. Williamsburg High School has a sophomore in their program who’s looking to make some noise this season!

Kennedy Skaggs is a lengthy and athletic combo guard who had a really nice weekend with her 212 (2026) team in Appleton! Skaggs is a player with some growing interest out of the state of Iowa. She possesses a guard skill set while being a long and scrappy defender. She understands situational basketball to a T and her teams best course of action a majority of the time. All of this stuff, mixed with her aggressive and determined demeanor with the ball in her hands, created a lot of success for her team this weekend as they went 4-0. If you ask Skaggs she would tell you that these wins are a complete team effort and that speaks to who she really is as a person, more-so than just a player. This group is fun to watch and I will definitely be catching them again this spring/summer.
