Kamora Pruitt

Expert Analysis
Sam Duren | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Physical guard, who can beat up opponents around the rim by rebounding or posting up mismatches. Similarly powerful and skilled when attacking off the dribble. Range extends comfortable to the three point line. Looked to be the complete offensive package.

Pruitt rhymes with “Just Do It” and from day 1 on my initial sighting, she has done it. Big guards who can shoot have always been a hot commodity, and watching her create, elevate, and drop from just about anywhere had me smiling. Her “catch and shoot” looked good, so did her scoring off the dribble

Pruitt doesn’t have any notes next to her name, I stopped taking them years ago because I only look for “on the court” progression, she’s THAT girl. Standing over “the magic number” and being able to drop the jumper from wherever she wants has been a pleasure yet her powerful drives to score after contact, rebounding and court vision, have shot up

Pruitt rhymes with “Just Do It” and she has “Just Done It” since I caught her years ago. She’s another “long and athletic” player, which will always be the base, and watching her set the defender up to score off the dribble using a deceptive first step or just elevating to drop the mid to long-range, forget about blocking it is nice. Here’s the deal, she also does a good job defending inside the paint and on the ball, plus she plays the passing lane

Pruitt can JUST DO IT multiple ways and when you factor in she stands above “the magic number” and is also “long and athletic” her intangibles separate her in so many ways for the next level. First of all, she’s moving into that “nightmare to defend” category because you are not blocking her mid to long range jumper, she elevates and release with ease but she also scores off the dribble. She plays the passing lane and does a good job defensively

#7 Pruitt is long and athletic, that will always be the base and the first time I saw her she dropped around 3o in a variety of ways, against a talented team and that falls into my “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do t against” saying so her progression on the court , playing the passing lane, her timing to block shots, and elevating over defenders to score off the dribble or knock down the mid to long-range creates match-up problems
