2020 Class Rankings: Next Additions
When the site launched in March, we started with rankings for the 2019-2022 classes. While we did our best, there are always going to be players missed and we missed plenty. While it's not yet time to update the class rankings, here are some names that you will see in our next 2020 class rankings update.
<strong>Kaiarah Carney, Ballard - </strong>As a Junior, the point guard led Ballard in scoring and rebounds at 17 and 5.4 respectively. Adding a more consistent three point shot will help her stock take off in the future after only shooting 28% as a Junior.
<strong>Delaney Enlow, Woodford County - </strong>Enlow averaged an impressive 18 points and 12.9 rebounds per game as a Junior and should be among the best post players in the 8th region as a Senior. Look for Delaney to be a matchup nightmare for almost every team in the region.
<strong>Gracie Jervis, North Laurel - </strong>One of the key players in North's state tournament run, Jervis is a solid prospect who can affect the game in multiple ways. She plays with good energy and should be a leader for the Lady Jags as they try to get back to Rupp Arena.
<strong>Kennedy Harris, Southwestern - </strong>Speaking of teams looking to get back to Rupp Arena, Southwestern was the 2019 state championship runners up and are aiming to get back there. Harris is another player who manages to affect the game in many ways and is going to be primed for a big Senior year.
<strong>Emilee Hope, Henderson County - </strong>One of the best scorers in the Senior class, Hope averaged 17 points per game as a Junior with impressive shooting splits of 44/43/83. Emilee is going to be one of the best players in the second region and likely to be at the Miss Basketball banquet in March.
<strong>Hailey Smith, Wolfe County - </strong>Another lady who can score with the best of them, Smith is going to be one of, if not, the best scorer in the Senior class. Hailey averaged 26 points per game in her Junior year with impressive shooting numbers of 51/43/86.
<strong>Amerah Steele, South Laurel - </strong>Probably the most glaring miss in the 2020 rankings, Steele has multiple offers and scores with ease. Amerah is part of one of the highest scoring teams in the state and will likely find a home in the top 15-20 of the 2020 class.
