She has a really lanky frame, allowing her to adjust her shot release and score over the top of defender's with her incredibly long arms. She is a silky smooth scorer from all three levels of the floor, constantly fading over her opponents much like Kobe did in the mid-range, avoiding contact and keeping her eyes on the rim every time she attacked. She is not just a slasher, she has great touch on her floater, loves scoring in the mid-range and can operate as a catch and shoot scorer. I was blown away with her expertise with a live dribble, calmly manipulating the defense any time down the court, getting wherever she wants to get a shot up. Her unique blend of skill and size is a real weapon for herself, allowing her to get anywhere on the court when the threat of her punishing you on the interior is so evident. She is confident with her jumper and has the ability to score at will from any level of the floor. She willingly hunts for her jumper in the mid range, scored with consistency from beyond the arc, and really shifted her opponent with how well she was able to handle the ball and turn the corner on anyone in front of her. LaMendola has been getting some high level coaching from ProSkills and really performed at a high level on the EYBL Circuit this summer. She is a willing and creative play maker who makes great reads out of the high post, and with a live dribble. I was very impressed by her complete offensive game, scoring at will down low but showing great consistency from beyond the arc. Where she was an elite weapon was her ability to run the point forward position, taking slower defenders off the bounce, forcing a second defender to ball watch or slide over, and then whip an accurate pass out to a shooter. She toutinely makes amazingly high level reads to set up her teammates, allowing them to quickly and easily go up for catch and shoot opportunities or easy looks around the rim. I was very impressed by how well she was able to handle the ball and get to her spots whenever she wanted. Her aggressiveness and confidence with a live dribble allows her to easily take defenders off the bounce, and get to the rim in a blink of an eye. She can manipulate you out of the triple threat, using jab steps to keep her opponent's off balance. She is an expert at scoring with a live dribble, yet also showed an ability to play point guard and create opportunities for her teammates. She can play out of the high post and making decisions, or handle the ball and draw a second defender on her way to the rim. She is a threat to score nearly as soon as she steps across half court, calmly and confidently scoring from the fourth level and threatening defense's from the half court logo! Her game is a perfect blend of aggressiveness and the modern game. She is not afraid to take you off the bounce and get to the rim if her shot is not falling, regaining confidence and allowing her to snipe your defense to pieces. She is a dominant offensive weapon because of her scoring ability,but might actually become a more impressive passer with the amount of touch she puts on every pass and how well they lead her teammates to an open opportunity. She is an ideal point guard who can initiate offense or score 25+ in the blink of an eye. It is for good reason why she has been coveted as one of the top prospects in Dallas for some time!
