Kahlen is somewhat of a hidden gem in Northwest Indiana. She is a nice athlete, she has very good length at her size, and she plays with a strong motor. She has been among the state’s leaders in steals each of the past two seasons, and she can act as a ball hawk, or she can jump passing lanes with her athleticism and length. She is an effective multilevel scorer who has improved her ability to make shots around the 3-point line. I am most curious to see her in this environment against the state’s most athletic guards.

Kahlen Robinson may be a listed as a PG but her mixture of athletic ability and knowledge of the game helped her dominate her matchups this weekend at every position she played. Robinson was the prospect over the past few days that made herself available in every ideal situation and because of that, she scored a bunch of buckets and was productive on almost every possession down the floor. She was either running in transition and beating everyone down the court for an easy bucket or she was taking her opponent off the dribble for a solid finish at the rim. Either way, she was producing at a high rate on the offensive side of the ball, while playing some sound defense and that stood out in each contest she played in at this event.

On a statewide level, not many people are familiar with Kahlen, but in “The Region”, you can bet her opponents know who she is because of her defensive prowess. Over the past two seasons, she has been one of the state’s leaders in steals. She uses her length, athleticism, and instincts to pick off passes and turn them into offense. This season, she also showed the ability to be a high teens scorer, attacking the basket off the bounce, knocking down open jumpers, and just being a nice all-around playmaker. She is a willing passer, but she is much more effective as a scoring option at this point.
