I have not seen Nellie play in person before the Showcase but afterwards I walked away impressed with her game. A guard that uses patience til the gap develops then attacks it looking to score a layup. I like guards that can shoot off the dribble especially when reading the screens and Nellie can do that very well. On defense she has quick hands and great intensapaction in reading off the ball passes, stealing the ball several times. Nellie had a strong freshman campaign being named First Team All Conference. A fun player to watch that I will for sure to keep and eye.

There’s a good chance that Nellie may never be the tallest player on the court. I think that’ll be okay. She’s gonna get her buckets. She’s got handles and quickness and a lot more heart than a lot more players out there. Already racking up the accolades, Nellie has undoubtedly begun to catch some of you coaches’ eyes. Watching her video, you see a player who can and will let it fly from just about anywhere. She racks up the points and to be completely honest, she is still a little wild and raw, not at all in a bad way. With more age, coaching, and refinement, Nellie’s lack of height will matter even less. She is a flat-out baller, y’all.
