New Jersey’s 1000 Point Club Update

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We're going to have to include a lot of players in this story because the 1000 point club in New Jersey has grown by quite a few names since the start of the season. We'll do our best to get every name in here, but here are some, if not all of the players who have reached the 1000 point mark in their high school careers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='325195' first='Rhian' last='Stokes'] - Ewing (2024)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stokes reached the milestone on Jan. 20 as Ewing took on Hamilton West, a team that proved to be not much of a fight for the Blue Devils, who won, 80-20. Stokes scored 20 points in the win, her ninth 20-point game of the season, also recording seven rebounds and seven assists.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='326949' first='Riley' last='Ahrens'] - Delran (2023)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ahrens made her 1000th point count in a late battle against Trenton Catholic on Jan. 9, scoring a late layup in a 59-54 win to reach the milestone. She finished with a season-high 30 points in the win, just her second-career 30-point game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='321564' first='Nia' last='Scott'] - Shawnee (2023)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Scott reached the milestone on Jan. 19 as Shawnee played Seneca. It was perfect timing for the senior and Bryant commit as she finished with a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double in a 57-16 win over Seneca, her sixth double-double of the season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='321576' first='Katie' last='Ledden'] - Rutgers Prep (2023)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ledden hit the mark in style on Jan. 3 as Rutgers Prep took on Hillsborough. She was masterful in an 86-55 win, posting a 25-point, 10-rebound double-double with three blocks. The senior has 170 career steals and 136 career blocks so far.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='325192' first='Devyn' last='Quigley'] - Manchester Township (2024)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Quigley is one of two juniors on this list and she's already on a mad dash to 2,000 career points. She joined the 1000 point club on Dec. 29 against Point Pleasant Boro, scoring a career-high 47 points along with 17 rebounds.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Maddy Clark - Haddon Heights (2023)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Clark scored her 1000th point in a tough loss against Gloucester Classic in the Viking Holiday Showcase on Dec. 28, finishing with 11 points as she went 7-of-10 from the foul line in the game. She's averaging 16.4 PPG for the Garnets this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='134754' first='Julia' last='Corsentino'] - Rumson Fair-Haven (2023)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Corsentino was the earliest player to reach the 1000 point mark, hitting it on Dec. 15 against St. Rose, RFH's season-opener. She scored 24 points in the loss and is averaging 16.2 PPG this season for the Bulldogs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='325182' first='Taylor' last='Derkack'] - Colonia (2024)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Derkack has been reinventing the triple-double this season for Colonia, and posted her second of the season the same day she reached 1000 points. 27 points, 20 rebounds and 11 steals she posted in a close win over Piscataway on Jan. 10. she's averaging 22.3 PPG and 13 RPG this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='155447' first='Ally' last='Sweeney'] - Sparta (2023)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sweeney hit the 1,000 point mark early on this season on Dec. 17 against Morris Hills in a 15-point performance. Her best game this season came in a close loss against Chatham, where she hit 10 three-pointers and scored 45 points.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='325168' first='Janasia' last='Wilson'] - Irvington (2024)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wilson is the newest player in the state to reach the milestone, having done it on Jan. 21 in a 44-23 win over Orange. She scored 23 points, along with seven rebounds, four assists, three blocks and six steals in the win. Wilson currently averages 24.5 PPG.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='482785' first='Neysa' last='Aguilar'] - Middlesex (2023)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Quietly having one of the best seasons in the state right now, Aguilar hit her 1000th point against South Plainfield on Jan. 12. She finished with 29 points in the game and is currently averaging 21.5 PPG this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
